Cartoon(s) of the Week -- Kimba and the Money Cat

If, like me, you're a fan of Kimba the White Lion, you might find the following interesting. I have a feeling that this is just a small sample of what American audiences were missing out on when the series was dubbed into English (and considerably censored, mostly for violence that would hardly raise an eyebrow today):
Now that you've (presumably) watched that, compare it to the following clip from the UPA movie Gay Purr-ee (which was made some five years before the preceding):
Don't get me wrong -- I like both of these. And it was just one little song & dance routine in a Kimba episode, not an entire movie...

I would have to say that although the two have several points of similarity, the Kimba "Black Four" sequence was more visually interesting to me.
