Inorite? I'd love to be able to do something like that but I doubt it would be advisable for someone the bear isn't used to and who doesn't really know what they are doing. I notice this guy is carrying a club in his belt, and so are others. Also see pepper spray getting shaken up just in case and there are probably more safeguards we don't get to see. Also this is a well trained bear...obviously. Probably brought up from a cub. See how he reacts to the clinking sound the one guy makes to draw him off? Walks away, then looks back like he'd really like to continue, but goes anyway.

Obviously this is a much-more controlled situation than it looks, considering that it is a huge bear and such. I like the dumbass who immediately said it was photoshopped. Now, if you did this with PhotoShop, ignoring the fact that to do so, you would have to render each frame and then stitch them together into a video.

I'm also reminded of a documentary of the snow-kitteh. They trapped one, darted her, and al the locals came up to pet her exquisite and incomparable fwuffiness. =^.^=

Well at the end they do make a point of showing the electrical fencing, the pepper spray and clubs. Still, the guy takes a tremendously big chance with his life anytime he does that. It could turn deadly in a split second. Bears often get set off by random things, even trained friendly ones.

Yeah....some people are so lame when it comes to what you can do with film. I suppose with a computer you might be able to make it look pretty real, but this is so obviously the real thing it was a really dumb thing for him to say. ;3

Yes, there is considerable and obvious danger in playing around with a creature that could kill you in an instant, even with such controls in place. And it's true that just about anything can be faked nowadays, if you have enough money and time and talent at your disposal, heh. And of course I wish I could pet a snowkitty! Too bad there are so few of them, and they don't make good pets.

Nope, not too big on bears. Then again, I haven't seen much good artwork of them either.

One thing that I wish I could have for a pet though is a snow leopard, or even a panther. But I would like to have a snow leopard even if that meant moving to a colder climate. So fluffeh...

Yes, yes they are. It's why in most of my stories that involve anthros there is usually a snow leopard/panther in there somewhere.

Other anthros I sometimes put in there are wolves, foxes, tigers(especially bengal tigers)bunnies, and...hm...Can't remember the rest. XD

Gotta have a good mix!

Of course, if you only had one or two, people would begin to wonder about the rest!

One thing I don't really do is anything with hooves...nothing against those that like them, I, on the other hand, don't really want anything to do with them too much. -w-;

Dragons have always been my thing, ever since I was little I would always act like my stuffed dragon plushy was real and it was my pet.

Of course that thing has been gone for ages, but the feeling of wanting to have a dragon as a pet/friend has never left.

Kitsunes were a bit more recent...and mainly cause I started to delve deeper in mythology and in different regions myths.

*smiles* How comes I think you have put this here just for me? Anyway.. it is a very nice video - apart from me disliking the clus, spray and fence on it. Us bears just wanna be cuddled and give cuddles. We ain't necessarily mean - even though we tend to underestimate our strength when it comes to interaction with less resilient species.

Though it was meant for everybody, I must admit, you were in my mind when I uploaded it. *giggle* I was starting to wonder if I was going to have to shout you the link....I expected you to pounce on it.

I'll admit, the weapons make it a little less fun, but even so, he really is in mortal danger every second there. They have to have some kind of protection, even slight as those were.

*shrugs* I found it easily enough so a shout wasn't necessary.
And yes I do plainly see the desire for protection - yet I still don't think the bear would have harmed him unless provoked. Bears are curious and quite smart - yet they usually overlook the fact that others are not as resilient as themselves. That's why people get hurt most of the time. - or because they think they can hurt the bear and get away with it..
