My Thought on the latest Assasins Creed 3 Trailer

Below is the latest trailer for the new Assassins Creed game that is coming. I have never played the series but the original concept was interesting. I liked how the developers avoided the easy way of using World War 2 or Feudal Japan and use settings not normally used.
This game for those who don't know is set during the American War of Independence and the trailers are creating a lot of flak as some are saying Ubisoft are 'unbiased' when always showing the British as the 'bad-guys'. I don't care about that, I love my history and I feel what happened has happened.
So what's my problem with the trailer?
In the trailer is shows various English colonist proclaiming why they are fighting for independence. All of them are noble except for one, the child who says:
"When I refuse to learn the history of a country I'll never see."
I am sorry but that is ignorance at its worse. To learn another country's history is to understand their culture and where they come from and to refuse that is to create an dangerous precedence. What is more there was only 168 years of history since Jamestown was first colonised in 1607 so there is not much history of their own colonies to fill an entire tuition.
As someone who love's history and admires all countries culture and past, to shun any form of education and understanding unnerves me.

I don't know much about american/british wars, but the trailer obviously shows with every frame veeeery dramatic who are the good and who are the bad ones... just that it isn't usually that easy to tell in real life. It's just different sides of a coin, the concept of good and bad is a human made thing.

But what I'm really hoping is that the actual game isn't "Oh all templars are British". I know I've heard of several big betrayals and plots within the revolution (like Benedict Arnold), so that the templars are within that too just feels like it would make more sense. Otherwise it'd feel a bit one-sided.
Also, yes, the kid thing was silly. It didn't fit in well and made him look like a brat.
