Ok so I got a job at a local pet store yesterday. Today was my first day, and drama already went down. The store is safari-themed, so our uniforms are safari guide outfits, so even though i hate wearing shorts, i have to for my job. One of my male co-workers noticed that my legs are shaved and started to tease me about it as the day went on. I stood up for myself, but he kept on subtly doing it. I finally reported him to my manager. She was nice enough to keep an eye on him during the day, and eventually caught him harrassing me. She ended up firing him that day. There's more to the reason why she fired him though. Apparently it was a series of things, and this was just the final straw. all in all.....crazy first day.
Your first job??? Srsly? I had part time jobs since I was 16...and then finally got a fulltime one when I was 19 (and still have it!!) Works for me...I guess baristas tend to be mellower people (in spite of all the coffee lol) so I never get much in the way of hassles. I have some friends with crazy stories of coworjkers who acted up tho.
And leg shaving? I tried that a few times but the itching when it grew back drove me crazy crazy.
Also...pet store?! Sooo kawaiii!!! How fun to work with lil animals!! I am jealousy incarnate!
waxing...that has possibilities. i may try that. I don't have a whole lot that needs it...but my legs would be easier to deal with by wax than by razor. can't imagine waxing my junk tho...i'd expect that would hurt like blazes
still...bottle feeding kittens...I'm actually a little nauseous withe envy lol!
