You can't get any lower humidity than here in Cal. It's like non-existent. I'm just old and not too healthy is my problem. ;3

Yes, they are, in the sense that we actually have all four seasons. And we don't have earthquakes or brushfires or mudslides or smog.

Blah! Earthquakes are 9 out of 10 times fun, free rides that don't last as long as you might wish for, fires are bad and scary but they aren't just a California thing, ya know... mudslides? I haven't heard of a bad mudslide in Cal for dog's years and even then all that happens is you lose a poorly designed house anyway, and the smog isn't as bad as it used to be, and it's only spotty, here and there.
As to having all 4 seasons, we have them too. Just maybe not quite as pronounced as you get them.

What we DON'T get are freezing cold temperatures, snow, ice, sleet, hail, nasty freezing winds all that totally NASTY winter stuff you get there. gimme the golden state any day...no EVERY day! You can keep your Eastern half of the US.

Cold weather builds character. I enjoy actually having snow.

Wish I could have taken you! I'd so love to share the peaceful beauty of Big Sur with someone. It's almost a crime to enjoy it by yourself! I had a wonderful time taking several long and short easy hikes just groovin' with the beautiful vibes and scenery. *sigh* I hated coming home. It was just perfect there!!

I don't blame you. Last Saturday around here hit 107 before a cold front finally knocked about 20 degrees of 9 straight days of 100s. Usually we only have about 5 days total of that kind of hear around here.

Sucks donut? I used to laugh at 100 degrees. Not anymore. Getting old or something, I guess. =p

Pfft, try 115 degrees around here in Las Vegas. There are storms in the forecast, though. I really hope the storms hit soon. I love 'em.
