Perhaps a little light at the end of the tunnel?

Have you had your daily dose of brick to the face, today?
Still SOL with the SSI/Medicaid thing, but there is some hope; my mate and I had applied and was approved for Section 8 housing assistance. What is Section 8? It's basically a government-run assistance program allowing low-income families to rent out an apartment or house within a specific area, with the program paying for a good chunk of the bill. We have to find a house by my mate's birthday, or else the voucher we got will be invalid and we'll have to apply again, but hopefully we'll be able to do that.
I really hope this works well for us; we need to move out on our own, eventually, and maybe this'll be the start of a stroke of good fortune for us, who knows?
EDIT: More light: the FSSA has decided to continue my Medicaid until they make judgment on my appeal, which'll likely be for a while yet, so that's good. Hopefully, this will be a sign that things are looking up for me.
