Questions of my fursona answered.
I have actually had a lot of questions asked about why I draw three different wolves with the same markings. See, all three of them are my fusona, one in the same. I personally am somewhat of a over thinker when it comes to the topic of Light, Darkness, and the Balance between them. so here is each one explained (using photobucket links to make it to where you do not have to hunt for which one I am speaking about.)
First off, the Theory:
As I see it, Light and Darkness are one i the same, two entities that control our world, as well as our hearts. We cannot escape them, no matter how hard we try. The emotions we have portray these two. Love, Joy, etc., easily has a counterpart such as Hate, Sorrow and so forth. There is also, that is if one of them is completely lost forever, the words, the feelings, etc, the other side will vanish as well. Try to define the word "Good" without using anything like the words "Bad" or "Evil" it begins to get difficult. Try to think of how our world would be if for example Darkness was no more. That there was no more hate, no more sorrow, no more evil. Them the people who once considered themselves "good" would no longer have anything to define them, as everyone would act in the same kindhearted manner. Same goes if "love", "joy" and "good" were taken out, Darkness would in itself become a common thing with nothing to say it is "bad". That is where the Balance comes in. Even though Light and Darkness fight for dominance, they cannot really destroy the other, as when Darkness seems to be all around, Hope will be the one shinning light to keep us going, and when Light is shinning down upon us, somewhere, there is a glimmer of hatred waiting to lash out.
There is however, a slight problem with how people react to the two. "In the Darkness you can see the Light, but in the Light, you are too blind to see the Darkness." This is something I randomly said one day, and to this day, it turns out to be very true. Here are two examples of what I mean.
You walk into a dark room, what do you do? You search for the light switch or a lamp, using what little light is given to you, say from a phone or TV screen. But once those lights come on, what happens? You are now comfortable with the fact you can see where you are going, yet pay no mind to the shadows created by the objects once the lights come on.
Another example is how people themselves are. Someone who is riddled with hatred, despair, lonliness. Someone who to the rest of the world hasn't a chance of doing anything positive. However, within them, they themselves as well as a few others, can see hope for them that they will either change or that things will get better. Maybe someone who is presumed to be hurtful and mean, actually does a lot of good things when the entire world is not looking. Then there are those who make their good deeds known, letting everyone know within a short time, that they can trust this individual. Though what can really go on within their minds. That very same person who is doing all this good stuff, could in fact be using it for personal gain, doing it to be the center of attention, doing it in hopes of getting "favors" back later. The sad part is, no one is willing to see these possibilities happen because they can only see the good deeds they have done.
Ok, if you are still reading, Congrats, you have gotten a little ahead of some in my thinking, and by reading all that, may now see how my fursona's work.
Please note, my name is DismayWolf for a reason, though each form has his own name. These names actually do not reflect anything but personal matters.
First we shall start with The White Wolf, or as I prefer to call him, Ushima
http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d.....ent=Ushima.png
The reason that his Fur is White is pretty obvious, he is the side of Light. He wears mostly white clothing, and when fighting the darker half, wears a white trench coat as armor. The blade he uses (Click here to see the blade is named "Ilu" which is short for "Illuminate". It can pierce through any darkness and open of the heart to receive and give off light. Now for the marking. As the markings over most of his body have no actual meaning, there is one that does, (Click here to see image for better understanding (image originally done by
Ataraxis though he allowed anyone to use it as long as we linked back to him and I just added my markings) The heart shape on the chest, sides, and lower abdomen. The Lines are no connected for a reason, meaning the heart is open to anyone and everyone. The reason these marking are Blue, is because when you are in a dark room and play with a blue light, it shines brightly, though does not do so well in lighted areas.
Now for the eyes. At first, you look upon red eyes and think something bad is about to happen. The actual reason as to why the eyes are red is because it shows the warmth of the heart and soul. As the eyes are the windows into the soul. The pupils are jet black, not because it is the normal pupil color, but because it shows there is still Darkness residing withing the heart, and means he has gone through dark times.
Now for The Black Wolf, Radigal.
http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d.....nt=Radigal.png
His Fur is jet black to show is resides in the darkness. His markings are almost the exact same to Ushima's, however they are Red, as Red is more noticeable in Lighted areas. The hearts symbol however (sorry, haven't had time to make his sheet) is all connected as one line, meaning that the heart is closed, surrounded by darkness and having darkness within. His eyes are blue, to represent the bitter coldness of the heart and soul. His pupils are white, meaning he still has some good in him, also The pupils connect the two. For when the form is in Radigal's favor, Umshima can still see through the eyes, and vis versa. I have found myself, honestly, in spiteful rages before, though had found it was to protect myself, or someone dear to me, though enjoyed causing some pain. His blade is in the same zigzag formation as Ilu. The blade is known as "Dim" as in to "Dim the lights" His blade can choke the light and back it down, closing the heart of to any form of light. Best seen here.
Now for the final form, this form has had two names, yet both strongly fit. It is Chaos/Balance.
http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d.....an_Pic0003.jpg (note: picture is subjected to change, yet not drawn, please bear with me)
He is the "true form" of the three, he exists, yet doesn't exist. The way he exists is by keeping the balance alive, as the reason he doesn't exist is because people do not understand how there can be a balance.
His blade is "Omni" which is Latin for "All" or "Every" in this case "Both" or "One". The blade consists of both "Ilu" and "Dim". His fur is gray, and his marking (change part one) are purple, as Purple has trouble shining in both lighted and darkened areas, but is still very noticeable. His eyes (to become) are gray as stone, showing he is the mixture of light and darkness. His wings are the main focus for some. The wings strongly represent that he has Light and Darkness within his heart and soul. His attire is either half black and half white, or full gray.
One more little fun fact for all. Each of them can control an element, no, it is not just to make them cooler or any other bullshit like that. Ushima can control Fire, Radigal can control Electricity, and Balance controls Water. All three of these can easily give life, as well as easily take life away. We as humans use Fire to warm out homes and building, cook our meals and keep us safe when camping. But when left unattended, can cause major burns and can destroy to nearly no end. The other fact is our body temperature is on average 98.6 degrees, meaning we are pretty hot on the inside. Electricity is constantly running through our bodies, every move we make is caused by an electric our brain sends to any given part of our body. When someone is near death, Rescuers will use a defibrillator to send small amounts of Electricity to our hearts in hope to getting them started again. Though is the jolt is too strong, it can overload our bodies and put us to rest. Water makes up a great deal of our bodies. We also need to drink it in order to survive. It hydrates us and is the one thing that can keep us going even without food. Though with enough water, a strong force will be created that not you or anyone can stop.
I hope you enjoyed reading my little back story to my character(s). As I do use the white wolf as my MAIN fursona, keep in mind, that there may be times when the other two shall appear, and sometimes, without warning.

Congrats for the fascinating work; I like to see that you worked on a complex back-story for your fursona.
