29 today.
And so begins the last year of this decade for me.

30 is a big one. For one thing I think it's typical for gen x / gen y people to be able to remember times when their parents were 30, which is a little sobering. :) Plus I think 30 hits the homo furry crowd particularly hard since so many people there are like 15-26ish.
That said, I think that one really is "just a number" -- generally you're still in excellent physical condition, experienced enough to move forward career-wise which makes for more spending power, wise enough (if I do say so) to have a pretty solid grasp of what's going on. Generalizing, but still....
On the other hand, it's a little more awkward to show up at clubs or hit on people who are still in college. ;)
The good news is that once you turn 32, you can start reporting your age in hexadecimal! It's like being 20 all over again!
