Atheism vs. Satanism

It must be emphasized that:
We are not an official Church of Satan group. We are not here on behalf of the Church of Satan. We are not a "Satanic Community."
We are a group on FurAffinity that are made up of individuals who follow the Church of Satan and the works of Anton LaVey. A question I'm commonly asked as a LaVeyan Satanist is: "What's the difference between Satanism and Atheism?" These are individuals who understand what our religion is about. And to be honest, they make a good point: a good number of our core beliefs - like indulgence and secularism - are held by Atheists across the board. What makes us so different?
The difference is doctrine. Atheists have no core beliefs set in stone beyond a lack of belief in God. Sharing the core values most Atheists share isn't required to be an Atheist.
Satanists, however, follow specific guidelines, such as the Eleven Rules of the Earth. Members of our group are Atheists who fit a certain niche, both in philosophy and personality. I've often thought of Satanism as an elite club of Atheists, who are very exclusive as to who they let in.
"Not all Atheists are Satanists, but all Satanists are Atheists."

I hope i'm not sounding condescending because I really want to know
The similarities between the two? We share a common reverence for ambition, self-gratification, individualism, and self empowerment.
That was the answer I was looking for
I hope that answers something.
Secondly, to say "anybody" can be an Atheist but then to say "only a select few" can be Satanists simply isn't true. Belief is a choice, at least in part' one could say the same thing for Judaism or Christianity. Only a few Atheists become Satanists, that would be a more reasonable claim, or even better, not all Atheists are Satanists, but all Satanists are Atheists (assuming we stick to LaVeyan Satanism as we've been doing)
Every once in a while, my self-depreciating Nietzschean antisocial hermit way of life pays off.
Every once in a while...
...say, can Anton's ghost get me laid?
dose it have to do with the fact that there are satanist who actually believe in and worship Satan as a deity?
allthough without any law there can be no freedom
I prefer rules/laws that are flexible when it comes to "grey" areas, much how like the constitution of the United states was designed can be dealt with using reason.
I think Atheists should be replaced with Agnostics in this sentence.
Atheists believe that God/Satan/Whatever doesn't exists at all and never will.
Agnostics assumes that supernatural may exist, but will not believe until proof is given.
When I readed about atheist, agnostics, satanist I concluded that satanists are more like agnostics.
... or I'm wrong? ^^"
I, for one, have been preaching temperance and prudence for years.
