Beh, the only thing separating us from them is about a million years of development in the whole fire-wheel-pointed/weighted stick direction, but I can respect an aesthetic choice. I always have liked orangutans though, starting with Louie from Jungle Book/Tailspin. Orangutan seems an acceptable sort of laid back but capable of wrecking your shit if it wants to to suit my tastes =P

The million is a bit of an exaggeration, also, obviously. There's evidence in the fire and pointed sticks department for many, many thousands of years, but I don't think we've had those for that long; even then it's only by a miracle of chance that we and not another kind of primate ended up at the top of the food chain.
