Yea, every once in a great while I get the urge to write a poem. So here it is.

Music is my one true passion,
What some might call a daily ration
To make a sound , a story of my own fashion.
I am a creator of impassion.
With axes and ivories and sweat and tears,
I liberate my hopes and fears,
Compose how I will while my years,
All of this to empty ears.
I am grateful for this special gift,
The power to make one's spirit's lift,
To make a soul go far adrift,
But not to escape my endless rift.
Now, I don't need some big estate,
I just want to create!
There is no need to compensate,
All I need is food on my plate.
What I want is to share my skill,
To have a crowd come get their fill,
To give them that elusive chill,
For all of this, I would nearly kill.
This path in life can be so trying,
With many perils underlying.
But even if fate is still denying,
My passion for music is undying.
