the material for a full suit costs around $300. a partial less than half that. he is charging a lot for labour.

Labor, as it is with everything from TV repair to oil changes, is where most of the expense is. D:

I can (and do) fix TV sets for my customers with parts that cost 30 cents to five dollars each. A TV repair place might charge $200 for the exact same repair, due to the labor costs.
