NYC Head Hunter Contest ~ Win prizes!
OK, in my desperation to help my husband find work, I'm asking everyone if they know anyone in NYC who is looking to hire someone to please help my husband get a job. My husband has had no luck in finding work for the past 6 months, and our financial situation is dire...
The first person who can offer my husband a decent job in NYC and gets him hired wins:
1) A free commission, up to $275 credit (equal to a full 5 page color comic)
2) Up to 3 free comics from my store OR a free avatar icon for your FA/DA or other forum
3) Free coffee and chit chat with me if you live in the NYC are and wanna meet up :) If you're too shy to meet up I'll send you a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts (wherever you prefer) gift card instead ;)
PLEASE do not just send me random links for jobs in the area. I need a recommendation to expedite the process, hence the reward. Here is what you should know about my husband:
- Male, age 24, full time student at NYIT, computer Science Major
- Has years of Customer Service and sales experience
- Has professional experience in computer Networking and educational experience in computer repair
- His interest are computers, cellphones, anime, tech/gadgets, cars and programming (please note he's still a newb in programming)
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese
What we're looking for:
- A job in either Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan.
- Pay between $12-$15 an hour or $10-$15 with health insurance, though more pay and insurance would be awesome, but I need to be realistic ~_~
- His school days are Monday AND Wednesday, so technically he can work full time (TUE,THU,FRI, SAT, SUN), but part time is preferred.
- He is looking for a job he can have for years as he finishes school. Please no temporary jobs.
- It would be great if he found a job that would be towards his interest, but at this point we'll take what we can get. Seriously, we're desperate, ANYTHING PLEASE.
- The only type of job I personally disagree to (though he will tell you different) is hard labor jobs. He suffers from scoliosis, and I don't want him messing up his back.
If you can help, please contact me ASAP at jitenshasw[at]gmail.com
Thanks so much!
