That seems like a lot! The most cash I've ever taken to a con was $200, and that was spend not just on art and stuff, but my meals and stuff, too.

But yeah, if you're including the cost of making a new costume from scratch, paying for hotel and travel... I can easily see $500-700.

Damn, I decided not to go to MFF this year... I may go to iFC, though, because I live in Indianapolis so it's a bit closer for me (last year, it was in the hotel my mother was working for at the time!)

Just bring whatever you think you would need if you were crashing at a friend's place for the weekend, and wouldn't be able to stop back by your house. And then bring as much money as you want. Definitely bring enough to eat, and then some extra for spending. But don't bring more than you want to spend, because you might end up spending it.

I say about $200-$300 to bring with you, to cover the costs of hotel stuff, food, and fun. (I'm normally fine at about $250 ^.^) Camera, spare clothes, ears & tail, and something to do on the ride down.

Lavos and I will be around ya to show ya around though! There should also be a bunch of panels we can all go too for fun! :3
