Just over four months till MiDFur 2012: Furry Apocalypse Cometh!!!
If you're as excited as we are already, just WAIT 'till you see some of the apocalyptically awesome events coming your way this December!
We're talking MAJOR- there are fursuit events, multiple Guest of Honour panels, Dance-offs and even a Southern Hemisphere Film PREMIER, exclusive to MiDFur in 2012!
Here's a taste of what's on offer:

Your First Furcon- You there! Is this your first ever furry convention!? Then why not pop into this fine panel? It will give you great advice on how to come on out the other end of this massive event with a grin on your face. [GH*]
Alcohol appreciation- Drink responsibly! But above all else, have fun. Come on into this panel and hear some zany stories and anecdotes about the influence of alcohol. In spite of the whole hilarity that will naturally ensue, this panel also wishes to encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol.[GH]
All About Amadhi – Babylon 5, Walt Disney’s Dinosaur, Battlestar Galactica, some of a few titles that Albee has worked on. This panel offers insight into Amadhi Albee's work, life and presents an opportunity to ask questions that you’ve been dying to know about.[GH]
Anthrax- Come and enjoy the comedy stylings of anthrax, Australia’s very own furry comedian as he films and records his very first live dvd. This is sure to offer up plenty of laughs. A must see for everyone.
Anime V Sci Fi V Furry V Bronies- Anime, Science fiction, furries, Bronies? What is better? Which is worst and why? Such is the topic of this panel. A light hearted and friendly discussion... but who will come out as the winner?[GH]
Art Panels: This year we have not one, not two but THREE separate Art Panels! With each catering to different skill levels, you can be assured that no matter what level you're at, there will be an Art Panel perfect for you.
Dealers/Supersponsors cocktail party: If you're attending MiDFur 2012 as a Dealer or Supersponsor, then you have a Ticket to the Cocktail Party! This exclusive event is the perfect chance to get to know the guests of honour in a more informal and relaxed setting. If you’re a dealer this may even provide a good chance to make a sale. [GH]*

Bitter lake film premiere- Lights! Camera! ACTION (don't forget the Popcorn!)
Chances are you’ve heard tales of "Bitter Lake", a feature length film made by furries for furries! This year MiDFur 2012 will be hosting the Southern Hemisphere's Premier of this furry feature! A large-screen, cinematic experience exclusive to MiDFur 2012.Come see "Bitter Lake" the Ursa Major nominated film now or you’ll regret it forever!
Behind the curtain- Take a look behind the curtain. Go ahead, we know you want to. Come in and hear from some experienced conventioneers about running conventions, some of their unfortunate run ins and of some of the oddities that they run into when running a con.[GH]
Furries Live Performance- Are you a performer? Want to learn a few new things? Boasting some of the best comedians and performers in the fandom, this panel will provide some helpful tips as well as helping you get the best out of your performance.[GH]
Fursuit Evening Walk -Attention all fursuiters! this year we'll be doing an Evening Walk in addition to our Day Walk- Let's put our paws to the pavement and show Melbourne CBD how delightful and colourful furries can really be. Let thecreatures of the evening come out to play!
Fursuit Construction-Join Australia's own Kat-Aclysm and BC Wolf as they take you through the basics of constructing a fursuit. Have your questions answered and gain an insight into the processes involved and materials required to make your fursona come to life! Also related- a Fursuit Care panel for those who want to get some suit-maintenance advice.
*Tails and Ears-Our most "paws on" panel, Tails and Ears invites you to create your very own tail or ears! With the guidance of our experienced fursuit-makers, you too can be a classy creature. All materials provided, but book early, places will fill up fast!

Dance Competition! -So you think you can dance? Show us your moves in the first ever MiDFur Dance-Off! Check out the MiDFur website for music samples provided by our live Dance-off DJ, Moskintia! Complete with Judges and an Audience!
GOH Panel- That’s right, come meet our eminent guests of honour, leaders, artists and story tellers from across the globe as they tell you stories and give you the opportunity to find out all of those juicy details you’ve been dying to know[GH]

The end is nigh! The apocalypse cometh and we all know it. So why waste your time in denial when you can learn how best to survive the various apocalypses that could possibly occur come December 2012? Come join us and get a schooling on apocalypse survival now! (3 part series)[GH]
No talent show- So, you’ve got no talent huh? Well fear not, this is the thing just for you. Provided you have the ability to laugh at yourself, this silly little red faces themed event is sure to bring you fame (or infamy). Make us laugh while you aim to be the worst act of the show[GH.]
For those of us with more serious talent, there will be a separate, non-judged Serious Talent show as well.
Sofa Wolf- Come and learn about the history of sofa wolf press, distributors and publishers of many a furry novel and writing masterpiece. Hear of how they have contributed to and changed the fandom as well as a big opportunity to ask those burning questions.[GH]
