Sergal Soldiers - Original Mick39 Painting; Taking Offers
13 years ago
I unfortunately need to sell this painting even though it was just last month that I won it at auction. I'm moving to Savannah in February and need to save up for the move down there.
This painting is done in acrylic I believe and is absolutely stunning.
It measures 20"(height)x14.25"(width)

The painting is on a black matte board (doesn't look like it was professionally cut) which is what it was mounted on for the Art Show at this past Anthrocon.
If you're interested in having this painting I am taking offers for it.
Please send offers and inquiries through notes or silveryote[at]gmail.com
I will not consider offers below $800.

While you paid out the ass for it, you're looking at a sacrifice for 'going big or go home'.
I have a book worth over $2800 of art and even I know I can't throw it back in the market at that price.
Yes, I know I paid out the ass for it, but I will not just cut my losses and lowering my minimum. If no one is wanting to offer even the minimum then oh well. I'll just keep it on my wall for longer.
It is a great piece, that I know.
But unless you started a bidding ladder, it very likely won't sell at the steep entry.
Though I'll note a quick inquiry.
But I guess there is no point in arguing here, I am talking to someone who would tear his relationship apart if Mick wanted to be closer.
If I was trying to regulate his item, I'd be telling him in a rather 'forceful' manner, imo, to drop the price.
I simply gave him an idea of consideration. Seeing as the art business IS my hobby, I think the advice was fair.
'But low, sell high' is a common trade, but hard to do on an item that holds little(used lightly) financial value as being so new and its not any potential customers fault what Tikky paid for it as he felt the need to shell out and not stop, but now needs to sell.
That is just how the business works and if he REALLY needs to sell it, starting the option low and letting customers fight over the bids just seems like the more logical route.
Bids or Buy out, his choice.
Whether I wanted the piece personally was irrelevant to the discussion.
If that were the case, I would have said "I want that artwork, but it's too much. I ask/demand/ext that you lower it." And make an ass of myself at which THEN you could chastise me.
if this is still up for sale in oct/nov, i will buy it myself, but untill then, i will have to keep a careful eye on its status.
I hope it goes to a good home..
