Artists, if you do not draw certain body types due to preference or inability to "get it", then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add it to your "Will Not Draw" list. It will save both parties of Commissioner and Commissioned a lot of time and in some cases, like this, dignity.

Oh sorry x.x My bad. I've had a long day and I'm half awake right now. It really was unbelievable . That does kind of suck though. Plenty of good artists to do chubby types ( I love Kazekat personally), but it wouldn't hurt for someone to push their boundaries if you like their style and prices.

On the flip side though, I think some artists worry more about disappointing their customers when taking a shot at a new style than they do upsetting a potential customer by stonewalling certain types. It's not something I've dealt with personally, but I've heard horror stories from other artists who tried a new style/type, or dealt with a very detailed character and ended up with said customer demanding a refund and trying to put them on any artist beware site they could because they got it 'wrong' or 'not what they wanted'.

Eh, I don't see why he wouldn't take on a commission for you, but he has some commission work queued up for now is all. :)

Oh and I agree with the first post (the journal), artists should really make clear if they don't want to take on certain subjects and topics in their commissions along with their price guide, samples etc. They're wasting their own time as well as yours by having to turn you down...

Though to be honest, I think I'm just gonna start making art mostly for myself. Too many people out there just make themselves too hard to work with for commissions.

Having a banner ad doesn't make you different to anyone else. We just paid for it, we aren't required to do anything special.

See, I would think that said banner artists would make it implicitly clear that they will only draw certain body types. At least it ensures that they ONLY get the business they want. I wish I knew who it was so that I don't waste my time in the future, or theirs.

No, it's not that at all. I don't have the experiance in drawing that body type so the work quality wouldn't come out as high as I would of liked ;;. It's nothing personal like that at all, you've gotten the wrong idea. Also I don't really draw people so once again I have no experience in drawing feet.
I don't let people commission me kids. It's not that I hate them, they just have different anatomy from what I'm used to. Same with people. My dad's on the heavier side I would NEVER, judge people or deny people are solely based on their physique, I'm sorry if you're offended by my reply. I didn't want to come off rude.

I understand you're frustrated/hurt/etc, but this matter was entirely private before and I'm not sure why you felt the need to make a public journal on it, it seems a little pointless. I do admire the fact that you kept the names private though. And I'm sorry you lost out on two potential commissions either way. :c

Sadly, I did keep names out of it. I didn't want anyone harassing the artists in question; however, I did find it amusing and chose to comment upon it. But since Tashia has decided to link both names and journals to funnel attackers to, my defensive hand has been forced here.
