I got up this morning to work on the commissions I have on the laptop... when I turned it on it made really strange noises, and for a few moments refused to load-up at all. When it finally did, the computer said that it couldn't find a hard-drive. My laptop has decided to melt down. It does not recognise any discs that are put into the disk drive.

I think I have lost everything I ever put on there. Commissions, WIPs, and gifts, trades, collabs and commissions I was given... :(

I find it ironic I was complaining about the burns on my arm and then the thing decides to conk out on me. =_=

We don't know what caused it yet but I definitely have a feeling it was the fact that the computer was heating up so much. Over the last couple of weeks it was just getting hotter and it was actually spreading to other parts of the computer. Previously I had tried fixing this by using a gas spray to clean out the system and putting a fan underneath it all the time, but obviously to no avail.

I have barely had this thing for a year (would have been a year come the end of October). The worst thing is that the HP warranty receipt for it has gone missing. I always kept it in my bag but now it's gone so there's no way I can get it remotely fixed without fishing out more money, and I simply don't have the finance for it. :C

I am writing this from our awful family desktop as we speak. Where I cannot install things like Steam and Skype to talk to people due to my twin STILL not bothering to get this darn thing cleaned or free of his admin account. I also do not have Photoshop as a result.

I am now looking to get my own desktop... and now I have to get a new tablet too, on top of that. Whoopee...

In the meantime I am happy and willing to take traditional commissions. I'll probably have to offer even further discounted stuff to make up for the lack of digital, but I will need to think it through. =_= Any suggestions are appreciated.

I will also need to discuss this problem with my commissioners via notes.
