I'd have to say that'd be my high school machine shop teacher Mr. Taylor. Back when I was a sophomore in high school he decided to start and coach a robotics team to help bolster attendance in his machine shop classes. Because I joined that program, it took me from a hesitant idea to venture into engineering to a full blown yes. Because of him, I learned a vast amount of practical experience before I even went to college as well as good knowledge on manufacturing processes (and how to do precision machining).
If it wasn't for him, I'm not sure where I'd be today or if I'd know remotely as much as I do about electrical and mechanical stuff. :)

I've honestly got to break it into two choices:
Grunge rock: Alice in Chains
Electronic: Skrillex
