I just recently saw a journal about a 'support chic-fil-a' day, which went on about how it was a christian organization and should be supported by good christians. i would like to point out that 1) no company has the right to discriminate against ANYBODY for any reason whatsoever, 2) the bible says that you should love thy neighbor, not 'love thy neighbor, unless they are gay, in which case make their life a living hell' and 3) the only passages against homosexuality (assuming that they weren't mistranslated, which most of the bible is) are in leviticus, which also promotes stoning people to death, forbids wearing mixed fibers, eating pork or seafood, and promotes owning slaves. not only is there a lot of mistranslation in the bible, but it has been edited uncounted times to promote political agendas. don't believe me? i'll give you a simple example. "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." when the bible was written, there was a distinction between practitioners of light or dark magic. the original passage is more along the lines of 'thou shalt not suffer the presence of a practitioner of dark magic.' guess what? it was a king of england who had an issue with all magic, and decided to change the translation to mean any practitioner of magic. so when a COMPANY decides that they can discriminate against any group of people, that means to me that they are NOT good christians at all. so, if any of you out there decide that you want to support somebody who says that one group of people shouldn't have the same rights that they already enjoy, then you can go ahead and unfriend me, because i want nothing to do with you.
