Update and a Question!
Well, it has certainly been a very successful 24 hours for this group - 10 members already! We have also been established as an FA group through the group database index, and I have sent an affiliation request to another group to help spread awareness.
Thanks to everyone who has joined so far! Please, if you haven't done so already, it would be great if you could add the group icon to your profile page to help others find us. All of our members are now on the profile page of the account for easy identification. The 'favorites' gallery is slowly filling up, and as has been said already, if you would like anything featured in our gallery please let me know.
Now that things are running smoothly, let me kick off with some species-specific discussion. A cliché, but I'm sure we will all be interested: What led you to choose a cross fox as your fursona species? Are there any behavioural aspects you particularly like about them, or was it more down to their appearance? Or something completely different?

I knew from the start I wanted him to be a fox, but at the same time I knew red foxes were very common in the fandom; I had nothing against red foxes, but I wanted a character that would ‘stand out’. I believe it was from researching the different species of foxes that I landed with a cross fox. While recognizing it is not a species in its own right (merely a colour variant), I did identify with the aspects that set them apart from the red foxes – as a person who does like to stand out from the crowd in many respects myself, I felt that it would be the perfect animal for me to use.
I agree with you in that I think the fur pattern is lovely - a lot more interesting than others as well!
I also wanted to get away from the whole 'red fox' reputation. However that doesn't seam to matter
I've always known deep inside I was a fox since I was very young. It was only a matter of time until I found the fandom and finally created my fursona.
