blargh the sun is always ruining my life.

Ah the sun, my arch nemesis.

It's been years since I've gotten a bad burn because I usually shun the damn space-orb quite effectively. But a good chunk of our free time was spent on the beach, so even though I was trying to cover from head-to-foot with clothes the sun got the back of my neck as I was leaned over looking for rocks. Apparently the hat only covered my face. From then on I wore a sweatshirt with the hood up. I wanted to buy a parasol but couldn't find one for the life of me (not that it was likely I'd find one in black anyhow lol).

Normally I quite dislike beaches during the day because they're busy, sunny, hot, and you're expected to wear a swimsuit and play in the water. This beach was almost always empty, overcast, not too warm, and no one wore anything but normal clothes because the water is a thing you want to avoid at all costs for fear of being caught in the potentially-deadly waves. The only daytime activity I enjoy on a beach is hunting for sea-glass. There wasn't any at this place, but they had these really pretty clear rocks called agates that we spent hours looking for every day.

That sun always find a way to burn skin. Its vile that way :x
Thats why I like my Oregon beaches, while there can be lots of people most of the time there isn't and its usually overcast. I love the tide pools myself, lookin for little critters :3

Tide pools are fun. X3 We've got really pretty bluish-green anemones that I love to pester. Unlike most people, I'll just put my finger lightly on them until they start to grab me. I know the stickiness is them trying to sting me, but they're harmless and too cute to pass up. :3

Nice, I love watching those guys close up. I never had the guts to put my finger on them X)

Is it the fact that they technically have stingers that makes your reluctant, or something else such as the texture? If you're not sure, the trick is to get a friend to poke them first. That way one of two things will happen: 1) They'll poke it and you'll know it's harmless / not sticky, or 2) they'll chicken out as well and you don't have to feel like a chicken. Many lolz are had either way. X3

I think its both.
But that is genius! I'll have to do that next time I'm at the beach.
