the hotel staff were douches to us anyway. >_> the least they could've done was fake a smile, instead of glaring at us every time they had to add more water or something. And refusing to turn the a/c down when we're all dying of heat (even out of suit). @-@ Hopefully they can get a nicer place in the future!

And yeah, even I got the non-smiling stuff from staff, whether it was housekeeping people or those tending to the con floor area too. Not very friendly at all.

I hope for a nicer place too! I tend to get along with most people and like all, but some of that staff (And some of the guests too) just were not very friendly, even when I tried to be friendly with them and nice.

Oh well, that really was my only issue the whole convention was with the hotel, everything else was awesome.

I was amused with out method of exchange, due to the policy, heh. Though hey, just outside the doors is out of con space. ;)

Arwwww, and no I probably won't be at Elliot's Fall gathering, alas, my next furry gathering will probably be Furloween and then FWA after that. So long until another get together!

And yes, that is true. It was the rather not very nice hotel. They were trying to make money by not allowing people to bring in outside food or drink and forcing them to use hotel facilities and concessions. This included handing out cookies. If outside stuff was brought in they threatened to fine Megaplex $1000. I didn't want Megaplex to risk being fined that so I wasn't about to bring in cookies for that.

Due to that it sounds like if you had been a dealer this year with your sweets they wouldn't have allowed it anyway.

The cookies and fudge I did bring though were given in the Sponsor's suite for some people at least.

Had a great time regardless though!

That is absolutely ridiculous. With all the other hotel problems I've been hearing about, I hope Megaplex changes hotels next year. I've heard some really bad stories.

I did get the treats! I'll be sending some of the Nutella fudge to  saphirus, who is still en route across the Appalachians. Nutella is gold on the trail, so Nutella fudge will make him very happy indeed! One of the minions has had some of the PB fudge (WHICH IS TO DIE FOR, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! ), and a cookie or two. The other minion hasn't been home from work yet, but he'll get some stuff afterwards! But thank you so much for everything!

I probably won't be at Furloween, but I should be at FWA. And if you go to rsvp.scalefeather.com, there's a movie night in Valrico Saturday. If you can make it, I'll definitely be there with all the minions. The hosts are very awesome and have organized other meets and parties. They're always a lot of fun! It'd be awesome to see you there!

Well, family ended up eating the fudge before I could send it. Which sucks, because I told them not to touch it. :/ So I'm kinda upset about that.
