well that's sorta not true. The big ass werewolf in the last movie looked good. Only took three damn movies

Iunno, I liked William in 2, and the ones in Rise weren't too bad. they explained that the new Lycans were some sort of human half-breed, being bitten instead of born a Lycan. They have less fur and more humanoid features, which sorta makes sense!

Well I guess it all depends on your preferences. To me it's just that the werewolves in underworld seemed more like giant hairless rats

God the howling movies were so bad.

They were very Power Glovey, but man, sex and werewolves, I was on that ride!

*shivers* yeah, my adolescence was ruined. I used to buy a lot of VHS tapes hoping for these movies to come on. I'd fill up 6 hour tapes with this crap and try to comp together all of my favorite scenes. Little did I know I was learning a really crude form of editing at a young age o.o

I found the first season of Teen Wolf horrible. I thought the acting was bad, the script was ridiculous, and it didn't have much plot or depth. So I didn't stick around for the second season, but a bunch of friends say it's excellent. So maybe it's shaped up?

The Teen Wolf series makes interesting plot points, but I feel like they're trying to do a lot in a short time, so I end up getting overwhelmed and confused at points...also no one as far as I know has gone full-out werewolf, just more hair, claws, and a change in eye color. x.X

Nah, but srsly. I like the werewolves that are more human-like than animalistic. Those are some awesome suits though!!!

Werewolves were my gateway into furry fandom. I was much into werewolves first, then discovered there were furries, people identifying with animals on different levels, as different "fursonas," in different ways - from therian to toony, and well other ways we don't need to enumerate. I found furries generally friendlier, rather than the "weres" almost consistantly dark and depressed, mostly because they were frustrated with the harsh reality they couldn't transform or be wolves physically.

I loved 2 main films for their intense and tent-raising transformation sequences. I had no idea something meant to be gross and shocking would affect me that way until it just happened. These were the scenes in The Howling (original), and American Werewolf in London.

I am on the same boat as you. Except the werewolf forum I was part of were very friendly overall, a few drama here and there that you see all the time with furries, but yeah werewolves were my gateway to furry community too!

I've been a werewolf more Halloweens than anything else by count. I've portrayed a werewolf once in a stage play/parody of Dark Shadows. (Probably the only line I remember is something like, "Oh no - it's Angel-ICK!" instead of Angelique.) There even was a day I spent at work in costume that way, this time as "Wolf" from "The Talisman," so I even had hairy palms...

Underworld saga was good. I liked the second movie probably the most and the werewolves were great. On the final movie the big werewolf was the single best thing in the movie.. the movie itself was very good, but could have been better on my opinion.

As for Teen Wolf.. Even though is a series with lots of teenage drama, I have to say I liked the first season a lot, I became a fan of it. I am currently watching the second one (just started to be honest since work has kept me from having a life -.-) and so far it looks promising (upto the 3rd chapter).

I did like season one of Teen Wolf and so far have not watch the new one so far.Still that is a cute idea of having some werewolf art show up every Wednesday.

I think Underworld had some of the best looking Werewolfves in movie history but part 3 and 4 were really shit

Werewolves are the shit <3 Haven't seen a decent one since the Van Helsing movies.

Also, Teen Wolf isn't that bad considering it's on MTV. Season 1 starts off kinda slow but it picks up eventually. The plot is mildly compelling and it makes some rather forced attempts at comedy, but you do get the once-in-while scene where they pull off what they're trying to pull off. I still find it enjoyable though, and season 2 feels a little more refined so far. Worth checking out if you're a werewolf fan, despite the fact that no one really turns into a full-on werewolf.

Underworld Lycans are probably my favorite werewolf design ever. It's original and most attractive rat/wolf like werewolves I have ever seen.

In terms of werewolf design, for me it'd probably be... Van Helsing, Dog Soldiers, American Werewolf in London.

With it being the full moon and all, this was a great subject for Wednesday.

The best looking movie werewolf I've seen to date is what Hugh Jackman turned into in Van Helsing.

Good to see that the SFX trend is towards more human-like werewolves. I absolutely hated the over-sized doggie werewolves of “Twilight”, but the less said about those movies the better.

About the only negative I have regarding humanoid werewolf SFX is their hands. In almost all of them the actor’s real fingers only go about three-quarters of the way down the werewolf’s gloved fingers resulting in the werewolf never ever closing his paw-hands into fists and their final finger-joints moving like elongated fingernails. Don’t know how they can get around that.
