The Dark Knight Rises... and says something unintelligible.

I just got home from watching "The Dark Knight Rises". My ears are still sore from the volume! Why does every action scene have to be accompanied by ear-shattering music? Worse still, they have these dramatic sections where the actors are saying something important. You know it must be important because there's very dramatic music drowning out whatever they're saying! Worst of all, the main villain has a mask on that muffles whatever he's saying, and I can't understand half of it, even without the dramatic music making it worse.
Admittedly part of the problem is with me. My hearing is very good, so I hear too much sometimes. Most of the problem though is that I've always had difficulty understanding speech in noisy situations. This tendency to drown everything in loud music just makes things worse for me.
Putting aside the sound problems for the moment, while some things stretched credulity a bit, overall the movie was entertaining. Couldn't beat the experience because there were all of three people at the Vmax session!

PS glad your site is back up.
I experienced the same in heavy metal live gigs. the openers were at just the right sound level, but for the main act is was literally, "all controllers on 11!"
I'm used to a lot, but when my ears hurt it's definitely too much.
I haven't seen it, but if I do, I think I'll pretend that Bane is Kurt Cobain singing Smells Like Teen Spirit the entire time.
I've also got all of both seasons episodes in HD without watermarks or advertisements. Happy kitty.... er... pony!
I think the cat woman in this movie was the best they had in ages! she pulled off the part perfectly and she has to be my favorite actor so far!
Glad you got to see the movie! Not as good as the Avengers, but still pretty dang good! :3

the most i could see is a dig at populist movements via bane's smokescreen to cover the real intention of him doing what he is doing.
