Basking in the golden afternoon

It is a lovely day so far. I've been able to work on art all day without interruption. Having a ball here on the broken couch coloring ladybugs, drawing galliformes and ungulates. The radio station is coming through decently and I'm being treated to a string of songs from Dark Side of the Moon. I've been snacking on my leftover 'chinese' all day. It's a big treat for me. You have no idea how tired I was of baloney sandwiches.
The cat is sitting in front of the screen door watching the blue-tailed lizards scurry on the porch and hummingbirds buzz the feeder. I call that Cat TV. The foster bunnies are noisily munching away at kale. My chickens are happy outside in their mobile pen, enjoying the warm sun after our brief thunderstorm. The air is sweet and pleasant from the rain. Drops are sparkling on the leaves in the breeze.
Life is peaceful.

Hopefully today will be as easy as yesterday. I've got to redo the sketch i was working on for you....my stupid cat used it as a launch pad and now Lawrence has horrendous gashes through him. Three sheets of paper with kittyclaw punctures. >< It's what happens if I spread out too much on the couch....I should have known better.

Yep, for the moment life is good. No bears strolling through yet.
The one freakin rock station i can get is coming in almost crystal clear. They keep playing really good stuff I haven't heard in a while. I'm currently singing along to "Copperhead Road" Thank god for the failed TV antennae!
