LOL I don't know- she is married, and they're an old couple that used the house as a vacation-home. I think the bear and cabin-kitcsh thing was just their way of decoration? They're apparently nice folks- the neighbours remember them well, anyway. They don't come up anymore, and the kids and grandkids aren't interested in using the house, so they decided to sell it. So we inherited a huge amount of stuff- a lot of it pretty cool, actually.

Oh lord.... If only i had a car.... and some gas.... or wings..... I'd fly there and pick out somethign for my birthday. ^^

No worries- I know most of my watchers don't live nearby, but some do. I figured this would be one way to let 'em know. Besides, we're doing this insanity again on Labour-day weekend, too- hopefully the rest of the stuff will go then. *is so tired* We made some serious cash in just the one day... O____o I guess folks up here REALLY like cabin-kitsch. LOL

Rather a lot of it does, actually. Heck, we had a lady who runs a shop downtown practically clear us out of a lot of it, and she may want what's left! She dropped nearly three hundred bucks on us alone! O_________o When folks bought stuff, they spent an average of twenty or thirty dollars each...

Forgot to ask. You don't have any old mechanical clock parts or broken clock movements do you?
I'm looking to build steampunk-styled gadgetry, but I need lots of small gears.
And I don't really like the idea of breaking up a fully functional clock, even if I could find one that isn't electronic nowadays, hehe.

Well, any clock parts I get I keep for my own Steampunk projects. I suggest hitting Ebay- I get quite a bit there in the way of gears, clock-parts, even whole, old-style clocks. Mostly prety cheap, too. There's always several sellers who seem to specialize in stuff like that. Just put in clock parts or gears or whatever in the search-window. You're bound to find a bunch of cool stuff in your budget.

She was a NUT for Boyd's bears, and yup, totally willing to ship 'em. She had a few of the adorable wee statues (one has a signed marker on it with it's edition and number in that edition), the others were things like tapestry-pillows and plushes. There are several figurines that look like Boyd's, but I think they're knock-offs. We sold the pillows, but I think we still have the plushes and the figurine. If you want, I can hold out any of the Boyd's stuff for you... I think there's two or three left. Let me know, and we can negotiate something?

Well, we had two pillows, one banner, one statuette and two moose plushes. Unfortunately, the banner and pillows sold before I saw that you wanted Boyd's stuff, but I still have the statuette and the moose plush. I was planning on keeping one of the moose, 'cuz he was cute, but I can send him along with the other two, if you want the moose, too. Or do you just collect the bears?

The statuette's worth about 10 dollars, I believe, based on how much some others sold for on Ebay, and the two plushes are worth about seven, each...

There is one bear, actually, and I said two moose plushes. The little bear figurine is named "Is it time for lunch yet?" (I think). I'm at the In-laws right now, so I can't check on it. I can get a photo to you when we get back sometime Monday. >^____^< I'll do a check on the serial-number on the bottom, too- it's a second edition, I know that.

I must not have been clear- there is only one bear, and that's the figurine. The plushes are both moose, as I said twice (I was planning on keeping one- he's the plainer of the two, but cute. But, I'm willing to give him up if you're not interested inthe Christmas fellow- they're both shaped the same, the only differences being in coulr and what they're wearing ). We sold the pillows and tapestry banners before I saw you wanted Boyd's stuff- sorry about that. Anyway, I looked up this figurine (#228364 Amy B. Bearsdale "Is it lunchtime yet?" 2E [I think this means second edition], number 2682) and it seems to be valued around $30-$35. She's a cute little thing, too: sitting at an old wooden school-desk, day-dreaming with her books and stuff scattered around her feet. Other than a bit of dust, she's mint. Here's what she looks like (this is a listing for a 4E figure, and the price they're asking is a bit high, and while I like charities, especially those that feed starving folk, I cringed when I read "feeding god's children, hungry in body and spirit..." what do you want to bet those poor kids are gonna get a dose of stupid from the bible-thumpers along with their meal?
