Well, we have determined when our Big Move is happening: that would be mid-July. It would honestly have been more economical to do it in June, but that would have been impossible, due to A-Kon being the first weekend in June and Anthrocon being the last weekend in June. I am now officially Too Old to do two conventions in one month *and* move to a new apartment in that same month. The jury is still out on whether I can survive two cons in one month as it is...

We will be moving into a smaller (read: cheaper) apartment. The Radio Comix mailing address WILL NOT CHANGE. (We have a UPS Store mailbox, the same one we've had for oh, eleven years now.) We honestly just can't afford the larger apartment anymore, at least not considering that dayjob work has been thin on the ground all this year/last year. (I have an interview for a new dayjob on Friday, but naturally, I won't know if I get it or gain any income from it for quite some time after that if I do get it...) The move has to happen, because we just can't afford to keep paying for the apartment we have now. So, we move in July.

Anyway, as this is the plan we are moving forward with, that means that we have to pay the month-to-month rent rate for June. Which we have to pay before we drive up to A-Kon on the 29th of this month. (Yeah, month-to-month rent doesn't have the three-day grace period regular rent has- and we will be in Dallas on the 1st. Thus, rent has to be paid before we leave.) So, we have to come up with $1065 before the end of this month! AUCTIONS, HO! (And other plugs!)

In other things, we cut our cable TV today, which will hopefully save us some money over time. We still have internet and phone through the cable company, because they are the cheapest deal available. But, the cable box has been turned in to Time Warner, even though they really, really wanted us to reconsider.
