Another Silly Survey Thing

Hot damn, I love doing these. I was clamoring for a new one, and decided to make my own for once. FAVORITES AND TOP THREES ACTIVATE!
Your Favorite…
Color?: Lemony yellow.
Shirt/Top? (Description): At the moment, my Shadoweyes shirt. (It’s a comic.) Black t-shirt, slightly snug-fitting, has a distressed, very stylized letter “S” on it in bright neon blue.
Sugary Cereal and Slightly-More-Healthy Cereal? (Substitute “breakfast item” if you don’t like or eat cereal): Favorite sugary entry is a tie between Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Frosted Flakes, while the non-sugar entry is a brawl between Rice Krispies and Raisin Bran.
Purely Decorative Possession?: I’ve had a preserved baby shark in a jar since I was twelve. I use it as a bookend. It’s creepy, but I’d be pretty bummed if it was broken or taken.
Ice Cream (or equivalent frozen desert) flavor?: Lately I’ve really been digging on two Ben & Jerry’s flavors: Coffee Heath Bar Crunch, and S’more.
Weather?: Warm but not hot, with clear skies and a slightly chilly breeze.
Fruit and Vegetable?: Favorite fruit is awarded to watermelon, spinach takes home the vegetable medal.
Thing to notice about a stranger you find attractive?: A prodigious but not over-flaunted vocabulary. A genuine sort of upbeat-ness. An aura of realistic, grounded confidence.
Comfort Food/Snack?: A mainstay when I’m feeling lazy and non-health-conscious is a concoction I call “bachelor dip.” It’s equal parts beanless chili and cream cheese, eaten with corn and/or tortilla chips.
Kitchen Appliance?: Microwave, I know you’ve been there for me a long time. And you’re very handy. But…can we talk? I just don’t like what you do to textures. I’m sorry, you’ll always be part of my cooking lineup, but…I’m seeing Immersion Blender now. They’re just so fun to work with, and, well, can you do that to soups?
Television Channel? (Or Youtube channel, or Netflix category or…whatever, man): When I watch, it’s a safe bet it’ll be turned to Food Network or Cooking Channel. (Gee, didn’t guess that with all the food questions, did you?)
Topic to study/research just for fun?: Comics/comics theory, human anatomy (hahahahahahahahahaha…sigh), human sexual behavior and abnormalities, abnormal psychology.
Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverage? (If you don’t/can’t drink, just “favorite beverage,” then): My booze mainstay is Gin & Tonic—to the extent that I’m worried I’m not stretching myself enough in terms of trying new drinks, because it’s just easier to order a G&T. As for non-alcohol, I love tea (cold or hot, particularly green) and usually start my day with a glass of orange juice.
Thing to Cook?: I love to bake, especially cookies and brownies. Complicated? No. Fun and easy to make? Yes. Delicious? Double yes!
Thing to do on a completely free evening?: Either call up a friend and have a nice relaxed hangout, or curl up at home and draw.
Non-Video Game?: I love a good game of Scrabble. I’m also almost always up for a round of Munchkin (any set) and have a lot of fond tabletop RPG memories.
Thing to draw? (or love to see drawn, if you don't draw): Eyes, mouths, and splattery/drippy textures.
Art supply?(that you love to see used, if you don't draw): Alcohol markers. Particularly my set of Prismas.
Childhood toy?: My two big mainstays as a little squirt were Transformers and Legos. If you could build something with it, or it was a robot that turned into something that wasn’t a robot, I was all over that.
Piece of advice you’ve been given so far? (not the best piece of advice…your favorite): “If you’re ever pulled over by a cop, be as absolutely respectful as you can possibly be. Always ‘yes, officer,’ ‘no, officer,’ ‘thank you, officer.’ Even if you think he’s being an asshole. You’ll basically have to suck his dick.”
(Long pause)

Your Top Three…
Animals?: Cats, followed by a specific group of insects—crickets, social insects like ants and bees, and roaches (when they’re clean and supposed to be there)—followed by bats (somewhat predictable also hur hur I cheated).
Movies?: Amelie, Fight Club, and The Iron Giant. Real Steel would completely unironically take fourth place.
Websites?: Cracked, Tumblr, and Topless Robot (which is decidedly less saucy than its name. Usually).
Books?: That’s a hard one for me. There are so many books, you guys. So many books. But, let’s see…I’ll grab up…JD Salinger’s Franny and Zooey, David Malki and Ryan North’s Machine of Death, and Mark Danielewski’s House of Leaves.
Places to Go? (Can be as close as “my room” or “the bar down the street” or as far away as the other end of the globe!): The Seattle waterfront, the market area of Camden in London, and a college town called Bellingham.
Things about yourself that you appreciate/are grateful for?: My eye color, my conscience (even when it’s being overbearing), and whatever bits of creativity I have floating around.
FA Artists that you watch…that you’re not that well-acquainted with at the time of this writing(cuz let’s face it, without that qualifier, wouldn’t most of us just list our friends?):
Pravusbelua has a very strong eye for detail, and knows how to make things that would be creepy in real life (her staples are disembodied eyeballs, slime, and bugs!) just so darn…fun-feeling, even cute. I’m consistently fascinated by
Naturesvillain—while I’m not “into” the vast majority of the stuff they post, their talent, particularly with rendering texture, is undeniable, and I think even if you’re not attracted to their sexual work you can still find a sort of interesting eroticism in it, if that makes any sense. Like, they sort of capture this sense of that concept even if it’s not directly erotic to the viewer. Like Pravus, they also have a talent for making things that might be gross in real life and make them…well, I won’t say cute, because their stuff definitely isn’t aiming for cute. But they make grungy subjects more approachable than I think they otherwise would be. (EDIT: At the time of this writing, they have silently deleted the vast majority of their gallery, including a lot of the pieces I was thinking about when I wrote this! Pity.)
Rotarr has a knack for unusual subjects (her persona is a fly! She’s got dinosaurs with see-through skin! I was first led to her gallery by an exceedingly well-anthropomorphized sphinx cat!) and as of recently, absolutely kickass business cards that I’m kind of jealous of. I have to make an honorable mention for
PierreZaius, whose comics are just so darned entertaining, and I love his clean, easily readable character designs.
Internet Personalities?: JonTron, Seanbaby, and yet another tie (these should have been Top Fours) between Todd In The Shadows and The Rap Critic.
Random small pleasures?: Realizing someone attractive was briefly checking you out. The thrumming of an electric bass. Biting into some good food and tasting a singular, bright, really fresh ingredient that you realize you haven’t tasted legitimately in ages.
Non-FA Artists whose work you admire?: Ross Campbell, Daniel Clowes, and it’s only fitting that I end this with another tie—a four-way between Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, HR Giger, and Roy Lichtenstein(kinky!).
I always thought the “tag X number of people!” thing at the end of these sorts of ventures was kind of silly, so anyone who wants a stab at this can naturally go.
That said, HYPOCRISY TIME. I’m curious, so I tag…
Jice,
Lowlysquid,
Ryonekochan,
Strobehouse, and
Neiva!

Scrabble is pretty fun. I haven't played it in a long time but whenever I played it with one of my friends, it would just turn into a game of spelling out silly and dirty words, such as butts, poop, and vagina. Fun stuff.
Dirty-Minded Scrabble is the best. I'm pretty sure there's an official version somewhere.
