Warning: Do not watch if easily indoctrinated by cartoons

I was actually looking for a techno song called cyberton, not something from the band cybertron, nor the other band cybotron... But cybotron has some really kicking chill music. Anyway, I clicked on a link that had Jim Carey then I found a little video on the "alternate history of man".
I'm going to go though some stuff before the link... it's only fair. Okay, so the video begins explaining that
this is only for your consideration... which is the new wave PC way of saying I'm not trying to push my beliefs on you so you can drop that skepticism. I am immune to any such tactic of cheap reverse psychology. He goes on to say this a few times in the introduction. Good job Dave Hill.
Then he goes on to say scientists still don't know how they built the pyramids. I can think of about ten off the top of my head. The mayans would have had a more difficult time of it due to not having the advantage of shifting desert sands. Which can shift up to 300m in height. It's really easy to put a block on top of something that is completely covered in sand(the tallest pyramid is 142m, and had to be dug out of the desert...) . Then there's the fact that people have been doing amazing crap that some believe should not be possible throughout history. Just look at the high rises made in the 30's. With no safety regulations crazy shit can get done even if some find it unfathomable. Okay, yeah I'm going to keep going.
Then he goes onto saying that the United States was going into a state of spiritual regression/progression in the 1900's. Which was interrupted by world war one. Excuse me? Just because it happened 110 years ago does not mean there are no people who know about it still around. My grandmother who will be 98 this year said that is crap. Everyone was devout Christian in some form or another and nobody, and I quote, "nobody believed in any of this new age crap"(wonderful language out of my grandmother... but she gets that way when people say stupid things about religion or politics). Do they think because they say it people will believe them? If anything america was closer to the 'spiritual enlightenment' he's talking about in the late 50's and early 60's, ya know before it was quashed by by the drug explosion.
He keeps going, hoping if he bombards you with his 'facts' he will lull you into believing him. Oh, not to mention is continuous referencing to Thoth as if he were some noted expert on human history and not a member of the Egyptian pantheon. Which causes my brain great pain... just because I know there are people who will believe it. It makes me not want to be part of the human race. Really. Almost all the 'facts' in this film... and even the true stuff has been heavily twisted for the authors own ends.
Okay one more example before I link to the show... he talks about the changing of magnetic poles and how it used to be in Hawaii and how man was somehow more psychically gifted when we lived there... The polar shift theory(its still just a theory. They are just pretty sure about it. Which means nothing from a pure scientific perspective as it has not been recorded yet. Which is sciences problem with quantum mechanics but I wont talk about that now) is not that the poles will move, just that they switch. The magnetic poles are what keep us from dying horribly from radiation from the sun. Ever heard of the van allen belts? I have. In fact if the earth's bald spot(the arctic) was on the equatorial line radiation would have killed everything there. That kind of pokes a big hole in your island of super people theory with it's own 'evidence'... Guess they should have looked up the science on what the hell they were talking about eh? Not to mention only the Chinese did anything with lodestones but geomancy till the 11 century. Nobody even knew what magnetics were in any other part of the world.
Now I don't have all the answers. Never claimed that(honestly I just know a lot of questions for the most part). I just want you, yes you cutie :D, to look up stuff if you don't know about it. It'll give me piece of mind. We live in this wonderful era where information is literally at our fingertips. While it may not all be completely factual its not too much of a leap to get a picture of whats going on.
Sure some of the stuff in this film could be credible... but they wrapped it in bullshit. Which makes them not credible. Why can't people figure this out?
