Thoughts on Kyubimon

I have been thinking about Kyubimon these past few weeks a lot.... I will complete him! Don't worry about that!!
Its just... I hate to say it but despite going through all the money and time (about 2 months and a good few hundred £ at least) I just don't seem to have an affinity for the costume no longer... I still love the character, don't get me wrong but I feel that having build it as my end of year project at college (I passed woo!) that it has taken the fun out of it :/
Maybe I will feel different when he is fully complete... I will definitely be doing an overhaul on it! there is a lot I don't like and KNOW can be improved, I may even start over again :O (I have not been satisfied with the DF fur
Maybe this is the last hurdle to kick down, I don't know.. Hell I have wanted a Kyubimon costume for YEARS. Ever since I discovered quads and fursuit it was like 'YES! finally I can BE what I draw, no costume is out of reach!'
I feel this is a tipping point for this suit, I half think of just selling it and starting on a 'Kurauno' but I will stick though and get him finished.
I don't even see myself wearing him to a convention at all, I don't think he will even get use past tests. This is certainly not something I wanted for this character.
He is different from link.. Though I didn't hold much for Link as a character, I enjoyed his design. I felt accomplished when I finished him. HELL I even cried watching the completion video, proud of what I had made, the hills I climbed and the 6 months it took to breathe life into him. I don't get this feeling with Kyubimon's suit at all :/
I sold link not only because I needed the money but also I knew for sure that despite my love for the suit I would never use him again (serious thanks to
sharpe19 for picking him up!!)
At the moment Kyubimon is stuffed into my cupboard, his stilts are out so I can regularly practice (I haven't given up :3).
It looks more than likely I will sell him upon completion, the love/passion seems to have passed :( I feel indifferent to him now.
I do love the overwhelming support I have received along the build, far greater than when I built Link, for that I am thankful and very grateful!
I hope I wont disappoint when Kyubimon is finally done! I'll pull out my best for this beast, he will be done but yeh, like I said above. He may not be mine for long...

Some times when you are working with a costume for a long period of time, putting so much into it, you will feel that way, but trust me, the feeling of accomplishment will almost literally make you shout for joy! Just give yourself a little time, you will feel better upon completion. As makers we will always wallow in the flaws, but the success and joy of seeing others reactions to it helps us see the challenge that we rose to ;)
