Volunteers at MiDFur 2012!

Worried you might miss out on some of the awesome action at MiDFur? Well, read on and find out how volunteers can earn Day-passes without paying a cent!
This year we need your help to keep the walls of MiDFur from crashing down while we party until the world ends. A big part of what makes MiDFur great is all the helping hands we have running around. We always need volunteers for a wide variety of tasks to keep the con running smoothly.
In other words, we can’t do it without you! Which means we need some amazing volunteers to support us!
Available Roles
With the world ending, it’s obvious that we’re going to need as many hands as possible to keep MiDFur running. There are a wide variety of roles and responsibilities available throughout the course of MiDFur so there is plenty to keep you busy! What you do depends on what skills or experience you have. People skills, technical skills, medical skills; we need them all!*
Some of the roles that need filling include gophers, video camera operators, first aid, event assistants and security. Do you have customer service experience? We’d love you to help out at our registration desk! Do you know how to handle security? We’ll arm you with a walkie-talkie and our head of Security.
*Please note that any speciality areas may require you to bring certain hardware or have specific experience (such as a first aid certificate for first aid volunteers, or if you are involved in photography, you will need to provide your own DSLR camera/spare batteries/etc). If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to ask.
Available Times
No one wants to work all day. Who knows how many drinks we can get down before the world turns to rubble? Which is why MiDFur is more than happy to negotiate the hours you volunteer! Do you only want to work in the morning? Or maybe you just want to help out for a few hours? That’s fine with us – any help is appreciated.
We will also be looking for some help for pre and post-con set up, so if you’re interested on helping out on days outside of MiDFur, be sure to let us know!
Rewards
It’s only fair that hard work be rewarded. Which is why MiDFur offers a few key rewards to those who are kind enough to lend us their time.
After eight hours of volunteering, you will receive a free day pass; giving you the rest of the day to enjoy the convention! This also includes a one hour break.
You’re free to volunteer for a shorter period than eight hours, but please keep in mind that you will not receive a day pass (though you’ll still get a fifteen minute to half an hour break).
On top of this, all volunteers who work for eight hours or more will receive a free print from one of our esteemed Guests of Honour. The only other attendees receiving a print for free are our Platinum sponsors; so this is a very exclusive opportunity to get your hands on some amazing artwork for free!
If that wasn’t already some amazingly cool rewards, we also had something new this year. All volunteers who work for two or more days will be entered into a raffle to win a chance at attending our exclusive cocktail dinner! We will be drawing more than one, so get in there and do your part to make MiDFur the best con this side of the equator!

could I ask for more info on the Volunteer spots please. I do hold a RSA and Food Handling cert's not to mention i could livestream the event on Livestream for you all too and everyone would be welcome to come up and say hi or chat live On Air
