Sofawolf looking for illustrator for Hot Dish!
We've finished selecting stories for Hot Dish, a novel-length collection of adult furry stories, so now it's time to get them illustrated while we work on the editing phase! We're looking for a single artist who can do nine B&W (grayscale) illustrations, one to lead each of the stories in the collection. The stories cover a range of species and settings, including some humans, so we're looking for an artist who can work with a range of subjects, yet provide a single unifying style across the whole collection.
Hot Dish evolved from submissions to Heat that were too long to be included in the shorter magazine format. They were great stories that we had to reject from what they were submitted to simply because they did not fit the format. Over time there were enough that we decided to pull them together to create a new anthology to help showcase these longer, more complex stories. (We put out a call for submissions to fill the initial batch out to a more novel-length collection.) If you're familiar with Kyell Gold's anthology "X" (swp.im/p/x), you have a good feel for about how big this collection is going to be.
If you are interested, please check out our blog or our LiveJournal. Feel free to direct any questions to heat@sofawolf.com.
