Waste of money?!

Every time NASA is mentioned some people say that it is a waste of money and we should divert the money elsewhere, but how much does it actually cost compared to other things?
2012 US Budget defence: 925 Billion: http://www.usfederalbudget.us/feder.....n_12s1li1n_12#...
Mars curiosity: $2.5 Billion: http://www.spacenews.com/civil/1106.....asa-audit.html
Cost B2 Bomber: About $1 Billion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northr.....man_B-2_Spirit
Cost of wars since 2001: Up to 4 Trillion: http://costofwar.com/ AND http://costsofwar.org/
Cost of olympic games: $14.46 billion : http://professional.wsj.com/article.....;mg=reno64-wsj
Add to this that the most useful technologies that we have today came from developments made by NASA for their space program. Here is just a small list of technology spin offs: http://ipp.nasa.gov/pdf/spinoff_top_20a.pdf
With that in mind, the total sum of the NASA budget since it was activated has been $526.18 billion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budget_of_NASA The corporate bail outs enacted by Obama has been $549.4 billion. http://www.nytimes.com/packages/htm.....ecipients.html
Is it really worth cutting the most productive part of our government which will stagnate development to redirect the money as a temporary solution for a long term problem?

NASA
and it's not jus tthe things a beancounter can see that NASA has done. How many young engineers and scientists, not just in America but around the world have been inspired to their careers by NASA's work? I know I was
Also, the best already skilled labourers from around the world flock to America's companies, adding to America's skilled workforce as those settled College Graduates do. So no, that 10% os not going to decline anytime soon. The percentage of local Americans will, however.
Why the Hell are we spending nearly a trillion dollars a year policing the globe when we can be so much more than what we are today?
removing redundancy in the bureaucracy within NASA I think would free up more money For SCIENCE!
also, we need more money for space sex research. seriously. I VOLUNTEER for testing!
