1) how do i find out/learn about good cons?
2) whats the usual cost of the whole trip?

2- at least for me its super hella expensive cuz...I live effin across the ocean in a tiny island so I have to buy flight tickets to any con I go to. If it wasn't for the flight costs...it would be around $300 at least I think...?
3- to have lots of darn fun! Run around! Dance! Hug the hell outa suiters! Take Pics! Maybe..just maybe...get drunk...?
1. Friends who go to a lot of cons and can tell ya what is good and what is ok to bad
2. this I asked a friend and he usually averages $300 badge, hotel, gas (if driving), and money to buy crap.
3. Expect the best and the worst. From my experience It was nice then there is the factor which ended horrible, since one year the shower seemed to be an evil concept to cosplayers.

- cons can be cheap or expensive, I've only been to two, and both were fairly inexpensive. Only spent about 180$ going to megaplex last month! (90$ for gas(6hour drive) (50 for hotel 3 nights) and (45 registration fee). The hotel was cheap because I roomed with 3 other people, so I would highly suggest rooming with other people going, since hotel is usually the most expensive thing. But always bring extra spending money for things like food, parking, and all those amazing con goodies that you can't pass up!!
-what to expect? I had no idea what to expect when I went to my first fur con this spring (FWA). It was very wierd at first to see all the fursuiters at first, but after TE first day, it was pretty cool to see everyone. There are so many artist to browse over in the artist alley, and lots of cool things to buy from the dealers den. There are usually panels on a variety of different topics that happen throughout the con, as well as competitions and game rooms to visit. The fursuit parade is very fun as well. Over all it's just as fun as you make it. Try and meet new people and just try different things! Let me know if you have any other questions!
