The "Realistic" Card

Why do some folks pull out the "realistic" card in this fandom ? As if it's some holy grail trump card of furrydom....
Dragons are okay..... Unicorns are okay.... Fairies are okay..... Taurs are okay..... Griffins are okay..... and so on.....
a 190 mile large wolf..... Wait hold the phone.... that's "unrealistic" in this fandom ? Says who ? And why ? (Why indeed ?)
"Why, yes, it is" says a fox with 9 tails and a cock the size of a 2 story house.... "Really ?" take a look in the mirror....
Anyone see the problem here ? Anyone ? Anyone ? Bueler ? Bueler ? So At what point do we draw this line of what is "real" and "unreal" in this fandom ? Hyperfurs..... Musclefurs.... Herms.... Balloonfurs..... Toonyfurs..... Etc Etc Etc (I'll be brief)
We allow all these in the fandom but somehow, a 190 mile large wolf is "unrealistic" Am I the only one who sees the IRONY in this ? Or what ?
Hey lets just arbitrarily pick out anyone who goes against the grain in the fandom and toss them out, okay ? Hey your too thin, hit the road, your too fat, get out of town, your too PERFECT, take a hike, and once no one is left in the fandom do they kick themselves out of it as there's no one left in it but themselves ?
Sounds a lot like Second Life, "We don't like 'your kind' around here" when a fur winds up in a Humans Only place. Is the fandom that messed up that we are turning into that very close-minded mind set we don't like to be or try to be ?
Or do folks just like to wank off to drama like this as they are that shallow and have nothing better to do ?
Everything we imagine should be accepted here. There are more weird things than a huge wolf.

Very few get us, they think they know what we're like then we surprise them by breaking out of that mold they put us in, that preconceived notion....
If it doen't fit into a box then they get all "too unrealistic" as it don't go into whatever box they try to put it into

Refering back to your journal, personally my character is a big reflection of who I am. Therefore, he doesnt deviate from my general traits and stats. He's a bit more realistic than your macro wolf. It could be because our reasons for having our characters conceived the way they are are different. Or maybe its just the different in how we portray our furry aspect of self. There are so many possibilities as to why we're different characters. That's the beauty of real life AND the furry universe. We should just be acceptable of each other, in both worlds!
My first and last needed point, talking animals. Yep, not so realistic at all is it (Granted most are anthropomorphized)? But isn't that, ya' know, the fun of it? Making your fursona, your characters, and your art the way you want outside the constraints of reality? I honestly don't understand why some people seem to get their kicks by making fun of what other people like. I mean, if we can't get along, why can't we just leave each other alone and not make a big deal about it? Oh well, I suppose if they want to keep trolling, there's nothing we can really do about it aside from ignore them. It's not like their argument makes any sense anyway in this vast, varied, and wonderfully quirky fandom of ours.
Bottom line: We shouldn't feed the trolls and we definitely shouldn't stop being who we are for the sake of this misguided concept of "Realism"
