My Little Pony (c) 1982 - 1990's
I miss the old ponies. I was going through some old photos and moaning and whining because I'd sent mine away. I was moving and had no space for them, so I shipped them off to a customs-maker. I asked her if sh ever used them and she said she hadn't. They were in storage.
Sheepishly I asked for them back. She says as soon as she can get to get mother's, she'll ship them back. Yay! I'd gladly pay her shipping and then some to have them back with me. I so miss them.
I didn't remember all of their proper names, but I do remember which ones I had. I had to look up the names:
These were MY "mane six" and think I even had them since I was born:
- Blossom
- Bluebell
- Butterscotch
- Cotton Candy
- Minty
- Snuzzle (a favorite of mine... She was always the grandma)
... And others:
- Parasol
- Skydancer (used to call her 'Birdy')
- Starshine
- Sunlight
- Windy (I miss Windy so much!)
- Bowtie (I actually pretended it was the nerdy boy)
- Firefly (my favorite... She was actually played as a boy, also, although "he" was pink!)
- Twilight (loved her. She was a nerd, too, and read all my S. Cosgrove books!)
- Glory (Another favorite... "I wish... I wish!")
- Pinwheel (Very gaudy and loud for a unicorn, I made her obnoxious)
- Posey
- Sundance (she wore the bridal outfit more than Satin did!)
- Baby Sundance (she's so broken now!)
- Powder (shy and serene)
- Skyflier
- Sparkler (In charge of cleaning up all the time [don't ask])
- Sky Rocket (I pretended she was blind)
- Salty (What a hunk! My favorite boy pony!)
- Princess Starburst
- Love Melody (She was always "too pretty" for anyone else)
- Sugarberry (I called her Julie, after my strawberry-lovin' cousin)
- Banana Surprise (she made the rest of the ponies smell like her)
- Sherbet (gosh so pretty)
- Baby Waddles (didn't like him much; made his personality as annoying as possible)
- Twinkler (Don't tell the others, but she may have been the prettiest and my favorite!)
- Merry Treat (I brushed and braided her hair the most, secretly hated her symbol)
- Half Note (I called her Funky or some other name half the time)
- Baby Lucky (favorite baby boy!)
- Chrysanthemum (November Birthflower Pony)
- So-soft Satin and Lace (I rubbed her when I was sad)
... and also my sea ponies... Had them in the tub with me all the time... Some had color-changing hair color, but I bet they don't any more.
- Wave Jumper
- Sand Dollar
- Sea Winkle
- Sealight
- Wave Dancer
- Baby Wavy
- Baby Salty
- Baby Dipper
- Baby Surfy
- Baby Sea Spray
- Baby Sea Breeze
I actually doubt she still has all of them. In fact, Beddy-Bye Eyes Baby Sundance is here, broken and in pieces... Chewed by my sister. I couldn't part with her. I want to fix her, eventually.
I miss them all so much. Come back, babies! D:
