I've put this one off for a while, but it's time to learn more about our content little Lombre: Jude "Joe" Ludemann
Home Life
-Joe's mother is Mary Ludemann, a Ludicolo and ex-dance troupe member. His father is Paul Sloan, Slowking physician. They met at the hospital, when Mary had a broken leg; it was love at first sight.
-In addition to Joe, Mary and Paul have a younger son, Trevor, who is taking after his mom, much as Joe takes after his dad.
-The family lives in a modest town-house on one of the hillsides surrounding Viridian. It's a short ten-minute walk to "downtown," (which is more a sub-section of the city than downtown right and proper) and six to the Academy.
Personal Life
-Joe's rather attached to his dad, mostly because he taught him to read. He'd read to Joe every night; and we're not talking basic picture books here. No, he'd read Joe stories by Asimov, Tolkien, Adams, the sort of thing many middle-schoolers wouldn't even touch without being required.
-Until his first few days of school, Joe was always called by his proper name "Jude." A bunch of mispronunciation by his kindergarten teacher quickly ended up changing his name to Joe. Though he still uses the name Jude in his signature, and as a formality.
Love Life
-Joe had a few fleeting crushes now and then, but nothing since early sophmore year. It gets lonely sometimes, though.
School Life
-From the aforementioned reading, Joe grew a great love of words, turning English and Debate into his favorite subjects. Through this love, however, he inadvertently neglected his battling skills.
-After a heated debate in one class, Joe was jumped by a few students afterwards. If it weren't for swift intervention by the school's faculty, he may have had some irreversible damage done to him. Fortunately, all that came out of it was a black eye and a few cuts and bruises. What hurt the most, though, was the realization of what that beating meant: he knew so little about fighting. Naturally, Dad decided heading to the PCA for high school was a good idea for him.
-Joe's battle record has improved since he joined the academy, although it's still a bit mediocre.
-His AP English skills do their best to make up for his ho-hum math grades; science and history are on a bit of a gray area.
Miscellany
-In Joe's back yard is a little tree house which he can use to get on the roof. Some days he goes there and just watches the sun set on the valley Viridian is situated in and the city lights up. He hopes to share this view with someone someday.
-He's gonna get together with someone, trust me. In fact, that's why I gave him the name Jude: So I could plan ahead and make a picture called "Hey Jude" when I finally decided on someone for him. Joe was slightly annoyed to hear his name was based around that.
I like this thing so much, I think I'll do it again sometime. Oh, yes, and any further questions you merely have to ask.
