Best Art Software?
Which graphics software do you prefer to use?
Why that one above the rest?
So I've been looking at getting back into drawing, and since I don't have a scanner but do have a small tablet, I've been wondering which software was best for my intended use.
So I turn to the artists of FA for advice and ask what's their personal choice of software.
I'm looking for a graphics editing program that allows me to do:
1.) easy freehand sketching and
2.) vector inking : and easy control/adjustment of line weight
I'd especially like to have the ability to turn/rotate the canvas smoothly as to tilt the drawing to draft my lines comfortably.
Comment and let me know what you think.
I've worked in Gimp and Photoshop mostly, but always found it difficult to draw as well in these as I would on a real sheet of paper.
FA+

I used to do a lot in MS Paint because it's all I had. It was mostly sprite stuff.
Sketching is simple and you can turn the canvas freely.
It also has vector layers where you can either ink with a pen tool and the line gets turned into vectors or you use the normal curve tool thing. Line weight can be adjusted per vector point or while drawing with the pen.
It's good for 31 days, after that it costs $60 I think. That's only available on the official website: http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/
