Commissioners - a question.

Commissions are currently open on a weekly basis, check latest journal for details!
Ok so I'm debating what I'm going to do, and I want to make sure none of the small commissions people have just bought from me aren't gifts due soon or something but
Ok I got a cold bug or something (fever, snot, etc). I had to crunch to reach my last comic deadline (ie put off commissions) so I'm wondering if I should just finish that arc ('scene') up and THEN work on comms, this way I am not switching back and forth - the comic pages are on deadlines, and doing them every other week is pretty disruptive sometimes to my commission schedule.
So the downside would be waiting till next week/the week after for me to get the commissions here, but then I would be totally free to take on new commissions once done, no delays. If all my comic pages are done for the set, then I won't have to stop and do them and rotate my work schedule like that.
So good idea? Bad idea?
I feel long run it'd be easier to keep open slots and such but it require an extra bit of patience for right now.
(p.s. I've gotten ALL payments, I apologize for not getting back to everyone soon as it comes in, been half working half resting.)

If you have deadline that needs to be done, then I suggest you finish it.
But seriously, I hope you get well from your sickness soon.
As far as priorities. Personally, I'd say the comic does come first. It's a long term agreement between you and the other people involved, and nothing kills a comic faster than missed updates. It's a hobby, and kinda a job, a Jobby, if you will. Also, finishing a scene in one go might be a bit creatively exhausting, but visually, you can tell it's the same scene and doesn't have jarring changes in looks.
Unless there's a deadline (a birthday, wedding, bris, whatnot...) then a commission, in theory, can be put on the back burner, so long as there's communication and the like. Forced art never comes out well.
i'd rather wait than have you dash something off...
Also, sorry to hear about the cold/fever you're going through. :( Hope you'll be able to recover from it soon.
No worries on the wait. :)
