Back to the hospital

Mom went back to the hospital this morning because she's been in a lot of pain for the last four days, to the point where she can't sit or stand and even lying down hurts her. We don't know much yet, except that it may be related to her Parkinson's, but they may re-admit her for a few days. So please excuse me if I'm not at my best at the moment.
I do hope they find out what's wrong. Knowledge in these cases is a very powerful thing. Having to fight an illness and not know what's wrong can be very mean and demoralizing, so once you know if it's caused by her Parkinson's or another illness, it's already half one. So when they figure out what's wrong, I hope that both you and your mother and your family can take a little hope from it. I know it's a little cliche to say knowledge is power, but coming from someone whose mother and sister are both going through two unknown illnesses, I can only hope it's true in your family's case.
So, deeply and honestly, I hope everything turns out okay and that they find out what's wrong.

And thank you. I have every confidence they'll figure out what's wrong. The hospital she was taken to is really quite good, and while it's certainly very worrying to not know what's going on right now I feel better knowing that she's got good people to take care of her.
Here's hoping that the people helping your family is able to figure everything out, too. I can only imagine how frightening that must be for you, and I'm keeping you in my thoughts and hopes.
