That's pretty terrible luck; but there must be a way around it. Is there any chance that you could use public transport (that's how I get to university myself) or carpool with a friend; or maybe pay off the repair fees with a loan or the like? I'd lend you some money myself; but I highly doubt that I will have any amount to spare that will make much of a difference.
