i agree with Blitz, your watercolours are pretty sweet, less is more factor!
and i love how you do sketchy ink work. a lot of artists figure that you sketch with pencil, ink smoothly with ink
i say thats bullshit dont be so black and white! haha! art is for creative exploration, godamn explore yo!

go ung ung ung, youve got line weight and line definition down! thats hardcore.
And im not sure if you do it intentionally or not, but you also explore shapes with line. something that not every artist thinks to do.

forms to further the idea of the body parts, or wrinkles in the clothing, you didnt just add a single stroke and call it a wrinkle, you actually
defined that its moving this way and formed like this and successfully add a sense of 3 dimensional/life to your work with as minimal lines as you do.
it may just be barebones of ink on white paper, but its got life and im convinced!

oh my wow! you're inspired by how i ink? :D i must be doing something right! thank you for giving me such a detailed reply, telling me specifically what you like makes me know what aspects of my style i should keep and improve upon; like for example in the secong pic, i didnt even think too hard about defining form with lines...i just kinda did it, but now that you brought it up i'll be sure to pay more attention to it now and to stay away from simple line wrinkles. your comment is like, more than i even hoped for dood, thanks c:

um. um. idk what to say. art slumps suck, but um...honestly? i really enjoy seeing all your work. i'd be really fucking interested in seeing how you use marker since it's one of my top fav color mediums. also: fan of your watercolors and sick (as in the good kind of sick) ink work. i'd die to see more of it omnomn

OK BLITZ WILL TRY MARKERS SOON. i have a pack of roseart markers but they're like, cheap little kid markers and leave that grainy-texture looking stuff in their tracks. what kind of markers do ya recommend?

UMMMM. i use copics just because. prismacolors are easier to obtain, cheaper, and work pretty damn effectively. ive heard good things about tria markers too, but ive never actually used them 8C

i'll probably be of no help to you because my first thing would be like Moar people! but you're on FA...but i am watching your LJ so if you wanna post 'em there. I do agree your watercolors are great. Esp. that light wash over those badass inks. i feel like you enjoyed the ink pieces you're been cranking out so maybe more of those? I remember a while back on your lj you posted some small thumbnail sized pieces of diff. scenes. would love to see your characters in some crazy environments because your perspective and such looked pretty spot on to me. hope that helps some? i've just come out of a rut myself so once you figure it out you'll do fine.

oh man, yeah i remember those. doing environments is definitely something i need to work on. i was like so psyched like "FUCK YEAR I LOVE DOING BACKGROUNDS NOW!" but went nowhere with it (haha embarrassed now). im glad that you want to see more of my human arts! i was of the opinion people mostly watched me for my antrho and animal art and just went along with my humans as a side bonus, so this is really encouraging thanks C: yeah, i'll post them on LJ because i'd feel awkward posting humans to FA.
