EGGPLANTMAN... ALIVE?
Yes, I am alive and reasonably well. I've just been away from DA for almost the entire Summer.
Why? Well, I have been accepted into nursing school at my local college. It is an accelerated program for second degree students and I will have my degree and certification as an RN in 18 months total. I'm very excited at the chance for a new career where I should be able to earn good money for my family but the studies are intense and require a huge amount of focus.
Because of the amount of focus this required, I had to give up DA and FA for a bit and even doing my Zodiac comic. This made me sad in a lot of ways because I missed working on it and other projects and talking to people about art and characters. I was also a bit bitter about my art as I felt it never really brought me any joy or profit, which is not true and recently I decided to come back to it.
So, I think I'm going to keep working on Zodiac as I do enjoy it and I think a few others enjoy reading it. I can't take many projects right now in addition to that but I'm going to try and finish the Zodiac spin-off comic for
karmakat as I was really excited about where that one was going. Other than that, I'll try a few random things now and again. I simply will not have the free time that I used to enjoy so the schedule will be erratic at best I'm afraid. It's the most I can promise at this point.
So, I'm sorry I've been off the radar for so long. I do appreciate all the messages of concern and I'm glad to be talking to you all again. Hope you can forgive my long absence.
BTW I made some slight changes to how I'm doing the Zodiac main comic as far as the layout. Please let me know what you think.

FA+

Two of my sisters and one of my nieces are nurses and all three went through a 2 year RN program.
Nursing is a WHITE HOT career field right now, in fact, nursing positions are one of the few growth jobs in my state of WV.
We've missed you, pal, but RL always comes first.
I can totally understand how you mean. My sister-in-law went through the very same thing and it was intense, but definitely rewarding. Best of luck to you!
And great to have you back.
Um...I really don't mean to be rude...but, I finally got back to you regarding the artwork from the Zodiac Fan Fiction contest you held some time ago shortly before you had to step away from the site for real life reasons. Yeah, I took my sweet time, and life got to you before I did. I understand that your life is really busy now, but I'd like to reconnect with you on that piece when you have time. I don't mind at all if finances, school, and personal projects come first and I have to wait. I'm patient. So, rather than sift through all your notes, just Note me when you feel comfortable taking it on, and we can work it out from there. Thank you, and again, best of luck on your new career path.
On another matter, did you get my notes and... did we ever figure out what you wanted to do if anything?
Drop me a line if you need help with math - s'what I do IRL.
