FA+

it scares me on one side, but also fills me with excitement, to go over the edge, because thats when you start to fly, and be truely free
and he was biking from one campus to another and doing that, all over the country. which means it would have had to have been between 75(? 74? 73?) when the altair circuit board patterns were published in electronics illustrated, and 77 when 8-bit personal computers started appearing in stores.
these kinds of endevours are epic. i think there's been maybe one other cyclist since then that went the whole way, and there was, unrelated to cycles, there was i think one person with a horse drawn wagon who made it across country in that time. they all met with being welcomed some places they passed through and harassed in others. finding routes that are bikable where you don't have to get on the edge of the freeway, which is of course a nono, i seem to recall people saying as much a part of the challange as their physical stamina.
at any rate, have a wonderful adventure.
