Why can we all just tolerate each other? sure its something youre friends might not like or vise versa but we can at least tolerate what they/you like. im not a brony, but i dont hate the show (im not for or against it- just neutral). its a cute & fairly decent show to me tbh... some cute moments.

I /kinda/ like it but not a fan.... so a few of my friends that went SUPER BRONY are still cool to hang out with, and we find other stuff entirely outside of both fangroups we still rave about.

Stories like this one, and tales of nasty shit some of the fans have done at their cons, prove there no better than any other fangroup anywhere. Given time, it'll level out. Right now its still in the OMG phase. Think of what furry was like when cons started growing, and the media caught on... This is yet to happen to them, and surely, it will. Pony porn isnt hard to find, and being based on a kids show, it will be a fiasco. Time bomb waiting to happen.

I'm not a brony nor a fan of bronies, but I enjoy the show and some of the art. But what I find is that there are those with addictive personalities who will latch onto something they have become addicted to and defend it viciously. One of the reasons I despise a lot of the born again Christians, people who traded one addiction for another. Bronies who were not furries before hand hate the fact that they are now considered furries, if only for the sake of that their like and love for the MLP characters is exactly the same as a furry fan. And they fight about it when told too. many of the bronies use to hate on furries and bash us. SO when they hear they have become the thing they hated, they get really butt hurt. At that point it just becomes fun to troll them with facts and definitions that confirm that they are just another type of furry, just with the title brony. So I applaud you for leaving the moron alone and letting him show his true hatred side. Cause a person like that is not someone you need to be friends with if they are just going to be mean and hateful and have rules for being a friend.

Hmmmmmm, that's kind of strange to hear that, because... "I" am a bit of a 'brony' (all be it a very mild one) and there is a kind of rarely written rule that, if you are a brony that you should 'spread love and friendship' and so forth as dictated by the show give or take, and that includes towards people who don't like the show or the fanbase. ((I just think of it as one of the many ways to help enforce good morals and attitudes)) But hey, that's just how I came to understand it when I happened to bump into this crazy fandom.

All I'm just trying to say is, I kind of feel that sometimes you need to blame the person, not the fandom. Interests like that usually don't drastically change the person, usually it only brings up things to light that the person already has. Then again I am not a proffessional so this is all just my hypothesis on the situation.

I don't blame the fanbase, I just dislike it for what its done to some people I knew, I know not all bronies are bad,for instance you're a sane one, I know someone in my class who is one, he's a cool guy, I love to talk about bad movies with him! XD but I would love to see WAY LESS BUTT HURT! there will be people who hate your fanbase, furries, anime, deal with it. XD

Well, what I'm thinking is that it probably would of happened to any fan base he joined in that he was really emotionally invested in, especially if it has a fairly strong counter movement to it. I mean, a very 'classic' case of serious 'opposing opinion' butt hurt (hah, that's actually kind of funny to say after I think about it) are the many fights between the British "Mod" subculture and "Rocker" subculture. Though thankfully in this case there wasn't any bloody fighting thanks to the internet.

What I'm trying to say is that you do have a reason to hate the Bronys, but I kind of want to say is that this kind of thing is fairly old and fairly common in the broad spectrum of history and that if your friend wasn't into bronies he'd probably fall into some other culture in the comming years or become one of the 'extreme' brony haters. Though that's just my opinion.

That's why I hate telling people I like the show. :c I don't care if people like it or not, it's just annoying to deal with the controversies over it. I seriously don't get why it's practically a religion/cult because it's not THAT appealing.

(no surprise there) but there are some furs I cant stand or I even hate, thats a normal thing. But to hate someone just because he is a Brony is nonsense, but to hate a

that think they have to tell it the whole fucking world. Using a Brony name, Brony Spray, naming their weapons after MLP characters etc etc etc. It just has no limits
how annoying some of them are! Even thats not all, I have even seen some dicks discussing MLP characters in a round of TF2. Nothigns worse than spamming the
chat windows with annoying shit like that. But I saved the best thing for the end. It only ever happened once, but there was this one fucking sniper guy that kept
using his voice chat to play an MLP sound whenever he killed someone. I dont have to mention how long it took until people banned him (protip: not very fucking long)

Mhm, and well it's easy to identify the retarded furs though, just judging by the fursona, comments and the about me part.. brony's, they all look the same! some look retarded, some are uncreative, but they are still really hard to recognize, I don't tend to play TF2 a lot nor online, only in friends private servers, there are reasons why I don't play on public servers.. me and my friends plan on putting up a new one soon. :)

I've just read this journal seconds ago, and considering the rising problem, I just have to add my own two cents on this matter.

I am not a brony, and will probably never be one, ever. However, I don't hate MLP and its fans, and like you, I do try to be tolerant with the fandom. However again, the MLP fandom has indeed gone out of hand, and I can understand how the non-fans are annoyed by the sudden explosive numbers of self-proclaimed bronies all over the world. It's fucking insane! D= I don't even understand why everyone is suddenly obsessed over a kid's show!

It's like the anime fandom all over again. Except with ponies.

For the record, I did watch a few episodes of Friendship is Magic online. My conclusion? I thought, "Meh, not my kind of show."
