*Off to America next Saturday with
retrogirl1986 , my sister Deb and my Mom. Mom is a huge Elvis fan (we have a room in our house full of her Elvis collection ^^; ) so for the second time we're off to Memphis, TN. We'll be staying at the EP Heartbreak Hotel. I'm no Elvis fan but i'm looking forward to the trip! Had a great time last time.
*So i've only had my Nintendo 3DS for 8 months and now they've released a 3DS XL. I know it's all about making money Nintendo but if you could make the screens that big in the first place it would be great, cheers. I'm currently playing New Super Mario Bros. 2, which is great despite it's unoriginality. I also have Super Mario 3D Land, Mariokart 7, Mario Tennis Open, Sonic Generations, Starfox 64 3D and Tetris. Leave me a note if you'd like to add me as a friend and i'll give you my friend code. :)
*Car was back in the garage last week with a broken gear selector mechanism. Apparantly Vauxhall Corsas are prone to this problem because the original components were made of plastic...Tis fixed now though, i have a modified metal version installed and it works great. Try driving a car without reverse gear, 1st or 2nd and see how you get on. Believe me, it's not fun.
*London Expo coming up soon in October. Going with all the usual wonderful people who make the whole experience a great one. Yes i will be cosplaying again this year with my buddy, Squeak. Tis a secret...
*Shortly after London Expo i'm hoping to get a new computer suitable for all my gaming needs. Hopefully i'll be able to create much better quality videos for my Youtube account too.
*Is console gaming becoming a bit of a fad now? Was talking with Squeak the other day about this and we both feel that there's not much more that games consoles can do when compared with PC gaming. PC gaming offers so much more nowadays with mods and online features that it could be the case in a few years that PC's could become the more popular choice for gaming. When consoles are released the software they use is already outdated when compared with the current PC software. Should be interesting to see what happens over the next few years.
*Speaking of console gaming, my setup at home now includes pretty much every classic console i own connected to one TV. NES, Sega Master System, SNES, Sega Megadrive with 32X attached, Sega Multimega (for playing Mega CD games), Sega Saturn, N64, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Gamecube and PS2. I also have my Sega Game Gear, Nintendo Game Boy and Neo Geo Pocket Colour. Pure 90s gaming bliss. I'm so happy that my room is redecorated because i've been itching to set all of this up. :) Might put some photos up.
*I've lost over half a stone in weight (8 pounds) since July!! :w00t:
*Somebody on Youtube said that "there is no such thing as a true Sonic fan because the fanbase is too divided". Truer words have never been spoken. Sonic fans get a bad rep because they love disagreeing with one another to the point where verbal abuse comes as standard. Kinda sucks if you ask me. For example, i hate Sonic06 with a passion but i know there are some fans out there who like that game. Fair enough if you do, just because somebody likes something that you don't doesn't mean you have to take a dump on them. Just accept personal preference and live with it, as with anything else. Respecting opinion is something sorely lacking within the Sonic fanbase.
That is all for now, i hope everybody is well.
Take care.
