Man, fuck NCSoft.

There's really just nothing more to say unless NCSoft reverses axing City of Heroes. I doubt they will, though, as they're likely both cutting losses from Aion and L2 and positioning people to support Guild Wars 2.
Ugh. Fucking UGH.

Guild Wars 2 had Four. Hundred. Thousand. People. In the head start alone. There is so many people that they have had to stop selling digital copies to give the servers a chance to catch up without being nuked. None of the other games - Aion, CoH, L2 - ever had a chance. Yeah, it sucks for the fans, but it's for the best on all fronts.
That's what rubs me wrong about all of this.
It's still terrible because Aion and L2, as well as Blade and Soul, didn't do well in the US, but are MASSIVELY successful money-makers over on NCSoft's side of the Pacific (Korean market). What probably happened was, rather than cut into their biggest money-makers, they cut into the MMO that was doing a solid profit in the US, but was likely dragging it's feet in their market.
And the fact NCSoft gave NO warning as to the closure until the day of? That Friday morning? Right on the cusp of Issue 24 and the boatloads of mechanic fixes and new content? Yeah, we're all going to be a little sore.
Shelby, I'll be over on CO. I realize it's not the best super MMO, and probably not one you might be interested in, but I will be there with friends.
