PCA Meme 5: Spike Cruson
General
This guy's one I've been having developed for a while, and now it's growing clear: Spiro "Spike" Cruson:
Home Life
-Spike's mom is Marianne Cruson, a Toxicroak nuclear physicist. She spends many late nights at the lab, which depresses Spike, as she doesn't often show up for big school events.
-His dad is James Mac, ex-tag team battler. About four years after Spike's birth, James was killed when the arena he was battling in collapsed in an earthquake, which turned him from a Machoke into a Sableye. He's adjusted surprisingly well, and re-prioritized, becoming a stay-at-home dad.
-Spike's the youngest of four children, all of which have already moved out. His eldest sibling is James Jr., a building contractor who's already starting a family of his own. His two other siblings, Laura and Lee, are twin sisters, who have recently begun careers in environmental and political activism, respectively.
-The family used to live in an expansive home in Pewter City, but downgraded to a smaller house in Viridian after the twins moved out. The house is small, but the property is fairly large; With Spike at school and Marianne at work, James has been busying himself on expanding the house, having already built a porch and dining room for company.
Personal Life
-His Dad's death didn't seem to have much of an effect on him. At least, not one that's been visible to anyone yet. The frequent absence of his mom has always been silently crushing to him, though. Dad's attempted to make up for Mom's frequent absence, but it's so far not been much help.
-Perhaps as a result of this lack of maternal attention, Spike's taken a shine to acting. He spends plenty of time
Love Life
-Spike's a mon of fleeting crushes. In particular, any girl with glasses, sun or otherwise. Even so, it's still just that: fleeting. He'll forget about it just as soon as the next bespectacled girl comes along. And then forget that one, and that one, etc.
School Life
-Spike was mostly quiet his first few years of school, until he began learning how to hone his Poison Jab. He volunteered as a "conflict manager" for his school during recess, and was decent at it for a time, calming people down with a light Jab. He should have paid attention to more superhero films, though, since he didn't seem to realize his great power held great responsibility, leading to an eventual upheaval by the kids at recess that could've ended in tragedy without a teacher's quick intervention.
-During the PCA, inspired by the works of other performance artists, such as Dom Joly and the ImprovEverywhere group, Spike took up time doing some performances of his own. With his new membership in the Drama club, he hopes to do some bigger stunts soon.
-Spike became a part of Team CHARGE! after being independent for a few months. A Mudkip took a liking to his "Secret Agent Mon" act, and extended an offer for Spike to join his group. Spike was quick to join after seeing Jukka's general rowdiness.
-His battle record is surprisingly good, given that he doesn't really enjoy fighting. Plus, he feels that he has an inherent disadvantage because of being a Poison-type.
Miscellany
-Spike's actual name, Spiro, comes from the Vice-president Spiro Agnew. Not really for any particular reason other than it sounded funny.
-Spike has a little pet Shellder, which lives in a specially-built pond his dad made for him. On warm, quiet nights, they keep each other company.
-He's really ticklish, but if you ask him he'll deny it. However, he'll have trouble stopping you once you try finding out for yourself.
Any further questions for the 'mon, go ahead and ask.
I'm having too much fun filling out these things. I really am. And I think you'll see another one next Friday, too. Probably Gary or Randall.
