This is the kind of shit that pisses me off. Its not just GM either, its just about everything you buy today. Look at everything you own and i guarantee you more than 50% was made or assembled in china. Im really starting to hate this country because it nothing of which it used to stand for. Every president since Kennedy has fucked us more the government is nothing but a bunch of wrongly rich bastards arguing about pointless debates and playing with our hard earned money thats not theirs like this was just a big casino. Nothing is made in this country anymore and we depend way too much on other countries goods, and resources even countries with high tension such as saudi arabia. People are loosing their jobs because they are all going overseas. Nothing made today is made to lasr more than a couple of years before wearing out or breaking so you'll have to buy another one. Shall i go on? Yep sure sounds like we are all living the american dream.

Well don't forget, it's all about money. Most Americans will pay for the cheapest item, rather than pay more for items made in the U.S. This also applies to a lot of businesses who would rather not pay for such pesky things as minimum wage, work-comp, insurance, etc.

You really wanna get pissed off? Look up "Mariana island sweatshops". Legal technicalities loopholes have allowed some companies to have sweatshops out in the Pacific, often in terrible conditions- and items made way out there are allowed the "Made in the U.S.A." label, even though none of it is actually made on U.S. soil. I'm fairly certain that a fair-sized chunk of items "Made in the U.S.A." actually are not.

Our country is collapsing, and all that the Democrats and Republicans are really doing is playing an extended game of "hot potato" both sides hoping that it is the other side that ends up holding the ball when things collapse. And if things do collapse, all that will happen is a bunch of finger-pointing and blame-laying with no real action - because taking action and sacrificing comfort is political suicide.

I don't go for cheapest or domestic. Quality is my concern: I want to buy once, and have it for life. So, most of my products come from a variety of places. That's how a global economy works.

Two words:

Synthetic lubricants.

Buy good stuff, take good care of it. Yeah, you'll have to fix it once in a while, but you'll still have good stuff.

Unless it's a cellphone. Then get the cheapest one you can get. So it won't matter when the horse eats it.

Notice their current advertising says "Assembled in America".

-NOT- "Made in America". You have to have at least 50% American content to say "Made in".
